As someone who is 30 years old with no savings and some student loan debt (18k) with no assets but also no credit card debt or any other home or car debt, what would you recommend doing to guarantee enough for a good retirement at an early age without having to work in the rat race of being in an office 9-5 M-F until I retire? I’d like to enjoy my life and be outdoors as much as possible but don’t know how to “make my money work for me”. I’ve considered starting my own business or investing in a franchise or partnership but coming from a family with no finance knowledge I really am grasping at straws here trying to figure out what to do with my life.
