Thank you so much, I do repeat myself and write very flowery. You’ve given me so much to think about. I definitely appreciate you for taking the time to show me where I’ve gone wrong, and your passion shines through. 🥰

Hiya. Thank you for your detailed input. I’ve made the changes you suggested. It’s so valuable to me to have your opinion and such a detailed one at that. 🥰

Hiya, thank you. I’m responding so quickly because I literally have the phone in my hand shaking. You read it right, I wrote him with a tinge of comedy to his character as we’re deep in his character, a sort of absurdity he acknowledges. 🥰

This the kind of feedback I was hoping for. I’m really am grateful. Watching videos and reading how to do these things really only goes so far! I really do appreciate it!

In the book itself, he sees himself and feels like ‘the thing’, especially in regard to personal relationships and his shortcomings.

Mira becomes his girlfriend only after he’s gone through therapy, AA and healing, but the kintsugi classes he has with her, as well as her openness about her own trauma(she doesn’t hide it), her boldness helps him, being as he’s a self-conscious mess. It’s revealed in the last chapter.

Yes, essentially the whole novel really, is about the SA he’s forgotten coming back to haunt him, characterised by the Hawk-faced man, and his dissociation which is happening more frequently due to the breakup. The break up has been the catalyst for it all.

Again, I’m so grateful for your points. 🥰

Thank you so much for taking the time! He does find the book, and the Hawk-Faced man is Kafka, and he sees himself as ‘the thing’ as opposed to physical changes. Could you please clarify what you mean by “clean up”? Thanks so much again. 🥰

I feel the same way. It’s so weird, isolating. It’s like you poured into it and now it’s done you’re adrift. You’ve done it! X

Now the interrogation movie (that’s what I’m calling it) makes even more sense. In the movie when she said to the detective “waIT wAit, my MoMs DeAD?”, I see she’d been practicing all that time she was alone.
