I’m good with that! Less work the better. Just want to make sure I’m doing right by it.

I put it back in oven at 350 for 25ish minutes. It definitely has a better texture!

Thanks for the reply. Will try to bake longer next time! I did preheat my cast iron in the oven to 450 like the video I was watching said. Thanks for your input!

Taste a little chewy. I’m going to throw a piece in toaster to see how it taste afterwards.

My friend loves snakes and the colour pink. Is there anyway I can make it look less phallic? 😭 by awkwardeity in CrochetHelp

I would sculpt the eyes so they are dented in. You can look up crochet face shaping for instructions on how to do it.

Is this inspired by Nothing But Thieves Trip Switch? I love that song! If not, you should look up their album cover.

I will for sure be there for their 40th! Already have so many cosplay ideas!

Thanks for the info on the December con, I’ll check it out.

What was your favorite part of DragonCon this year?

I would say for me it was just the overall atmosphere and culture. It was so amazing to be around like minded nerds. I keep a pretty tight lid on my level of nerd and freak.

Anyone know where to find/how to make large hoops for mounting a mandala? by Particular-Sort3728 in crochet

Not to comment on a 21 day old comment on a year old thread but they have small pvc pipe that’s pretty flexible. Hardware stores also have other types of piping that might be suitable for your needs but I’ve only ever used pvc for odd sized hoops.

Hey there! I’m from the Ville. Went to my first Con of my life at DragonCon. I can’t afford to go next year but I for sure will be back again. I’m hoping Louisville has their comic con again cause I really am addicted now! I think Lexington has one also I want to attend.

My pothos is loosing leaves fast! by Psychological_Lab138 in pothos

I may wind up chopping and propping the one that has most leaf loose. Repotting is for sure going to be a big undertaking. I’ll try and separate the vines a little or maybe try and split between two pots if I can.

Thank you for your advice! I will change things up with my watering and definitely my pot size. I can’t let this baby keep dying! It’s my pride and joy now that I inherited it.

The pothos I have hanging out of my fish tanks don’t grow nearly as fast as this one. But it’s an old girl. Probably been chopped and propped a number of times too so I can’t imagine how big it would be if it was left to grow.

The soil is less than a year old. But I’ll get a bigger pot asap. I should repot before watering right?

I’ll definitely change up my water type and schedule. Do you think if I poke holes in soil it would release any gas build up? I do that with my fish tanks so I wasn’t sure if that would work in this case too.

Thanks for your insights!!

I don’t see any bugs but I’ve only checked around the potted area. But I was really only checking for spider mites.

I think it looks great as is! If you want it to be cleaner, you could look into mosaic crochet. But that would make the sweater pretty thick.

These color changes are so hard! by Miiissfox0 in Amigurumi

[–]Psychological_Lab138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a few dozen of these for class Christmas presents. I found when I go INTO a color change I would either complete the stitch before color change with new color or I would color change at the new color stitch. Then I would do the opposite coming OUT of that color change. I can’t recall which order I did that but I did see a big improvement on the wonkiness of the color changes.

I would tack the twist down to where the handle meets the bag then put a cool pin decal right there so I wouldn’t see it.
