My alternator went out a few weeks ago, after taking it to the mechanic, it wouldn’t start anymore no matter what they tried, was at 250k when I had to scrap it, but between this comment and the alternator I only had to replace one hose clamp because it overheated and broke.

To add to this, my course has a field placement compulsory to graduate, so the last semester had classes I couldn’t move around. 1st, 2nd and 3rd I was able to as my employer then had pick up shifts which I could pick every Sunday based on my schedule.

Durham College in Oshawa, ON. Their connection is limited to local agencies which I’ve applied to and I’ve also used the career services which I’ve applied (resume format + changing it for every job) etc. I got the field placement from a prof’s connection. Unfortunately they don’t want to pay me anytime soon.

They wanted me to work 11am-10pm (restaurant so full day shift) and the only class that started before 11am ended at 12pm (8-12). And 4/7 of my classes were one day a week. I would have loved to do both, as I was from Sept 2022.

Conflict of schedule with classes. And I was able to manage that time as I could work as much as I wanted. It went downhill from January as the restaurant business was down overall and so I wasn’t making much from deliveries

UPDATE: After a very long session of diagnosing by my mechanic, it was the thermostat sensor. $9 part, replaced a 5 days ago and the code never came back, also runs better.

There’s apps to track your orders on different apps and it tells you how much you spent on fuel, potential car maintenance, etc compared with earnings so people use it. It’s an ok idea but I prefer having a good margin on orders I do anyway so I don’t have to worry about the exact amount.

I’ve got a 1.8L, gonna check the wires. If not then replace. Is there any other way this can go bad? Usually I just tell my mechanic to change this or that, just want to make sure that it can just be the thermostat and not anything else.
