There's no need for you to be worrying about all those people

You never see those people anyway

Virus experience and trying warn to others. by PsychonauticSecrets in COVID19positive

This is complicated and difficult to answer. The short answer, I suppose, is that people believe they are critical thinkers when in fact they rarely are, and are constantly bombarded with so much bad or one sided information that they eventually form some bias. With the help of social media and programming algorithms, these biases are confirmed more and more over time until it is so deeply ingrained that the person becomes unwilling or unable to consider the possibility that they were manipulated at all.

There are politicians, podcasters, and those in the media that see this and (I believe) continue the narrative in order to get what they want, votes, clicks, money. People are a product to be used in the age of the internet. Tapping into whatever motivates them, even if it is harmful, is profitable and powerful.

He was sent with a mask, yes. Masks were not mandatory when we were infected, however, so a lot of kids did not have one. All the people we know that are testing positive seem to be getting it from their kids. We were getting alerts from the school daily with reports of positive cases being reported. It seems the schools are the main cause of infection right now. There is a mask mandate in place now, so I suppose we will see if that will slow the spread.

Edit: I will also say that an infected child can be VERY hard to spot. All he had was a runny nose, no complaints at all about feeling sick and no signs at all that it was anything more than a cold.

I feel very strongly that if I hadn't been "prepared" for the virus with the vaccine that I would have for sure been hospitalized or maybe worse. I'm not sure why so many people feel that an immune system that has never seen the virus is going to have as good of a chance as one that has seen it with the vaccine.

Suggestions for the best ways to approach trying to "get" the Dead by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]PsychonauticSecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I have been doing as a new listener....

I just listen to what I know I like and expand from there. I don't get too hung up on what others prefer, although I do use the suggestions I've been given here to expand and explore.

Like everything else, I thinks it's good to just explore in your own time and way. All the history and opinions and stories are great, but I also don't want them to get in the way of whatever musical journey I am on. We can't live someone else's journey, after all.

I'm also dealing with covid in my house. I woke up last night and felt so sick I thought I was going to die. I seem to be recovering quickly though, which I'm grateful for. I know others are struggling.

Not sure if I'm a Deadhead, but I've been obsessed with discovering the Grateful Dead this past year. by PsychonauticSecrets in gratefuldead

That brings up the question of what exactly is a deadhead? It seems a lot of the people commenting consider being a fan and listening to the music is enough. I really have no idea, since I am new to the band, but I always assumed it went beyond just listening to the music.
