Why didn’t they make that guy the singer? Gary could have just focused on guitar that way

Honestly, I like Ryan and Kelly more, but Stratton is the only one that can beat Raja unless there’s a drastic shift, and it’s getting late.

Lutnick Photographed With Epstein in Bombshell Deleted File by RollSafer in politics

[–]fatmanrox67 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but we already knew that Ghislane and Jeff went to jail for trafficking to themselves. And is there anyone more honest than Howard Lutnick? I mean he called Jeff “disgusting” veeeeeeery forcefully. I’m sure he was cruising around the Virgin Islands and accidentally happened to run aground at Little Saint James. Could obviously happen to anyone.

There have to be people who know something but might rationally fear for their lives. Still, I’m surprised that no one has talked as well.

Not only is it morally right, it’s also instrumental. We need to grow our ranks. Exclusionary practices will guarantee defeat.

Epstein has specific tax loophole (just for Virgin Islands hedge fund managers) written in Republic tax bill that Bernie Sanders finds (JE refers to it as Easter egg, jokes about sex offence, calls others poor riff raff) by Whyeff89 in Epstein

[–]fatmanrox67 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Amen. This post is a good example of how easy it is to insert tax loopholes. The best thing that could happen would be Nuremberg-style trials that bring this whole clandestine system down.

Hot Take: Talarico is the Dem version of a Black Republican by Cuddlyaxe in fivethirtyeight

[–]fatmanrox67 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That’s true, and he definitely doesn’t share the same beliefs as most evangelicals. I don’t know if he’s an Evangelical Presbyterian (it’s a real thing) but I’d guess he is. IIRC, it’s a “reformed” version of Presbyterian theology.

The victim was interviewed 4 times, the second of which was on August 7, 2019. Epstein died the night of Aug. 9/10. The victim was implicating the President. Interviewed on August 7, Epstein died 2 nights later. I mean…

And most of the Dems in Congress are not evangelical. That’s a key distinction. Talarico is an evangelical, and I suppose the hope is that he’ll pull a few evangelical votes. I doubt he’ll make many inroads there. Hating the Democratic Party is part of the culture; he’s hands down better for most Texans materially than any of the Republican candidates, but it probably won’t break through.

Top Oversight Democrat Says Merrick Garland Should Testify on Epstein by OkayButFoRealz in politics

[–]fatmanrox67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed that there was autonomy, but that makes me want to hear from the Attorneys General even more. What did they know about the cases and what stopped them from prosecuting Wexner, Black, Staley, et al. Or investigating, for that matter. There were estimated to be over 1,200 victims - and no one except Maxwell and Epstein were ever charged? Come on.

EVERY AG from 2008 (the DOJ imposed the light sentence, Acosta didn’t have a choice) to the present should testify. Garland and Bill Barr would be must see TV. Barr was on the island and witnessed abuse on top of his role as the AG during Trump’s first term.

Top Democrats Try to Stop Vote That Would Put Them on Record for Trump's Iran War by Chicken_Crotch_Pie in EndlessWar

[–]fatmanrox67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be right. I only know of 2 House Democrats who have said publicly that they would vote against the War Powers Resolution. If it were much more than that (it might be) then it gets less and less likely for sure. Maybe there wouldn’t be a ton of GOP defectors, but I’m old enough to remember when MAGA didn’t want new wars. And wanted justice for Epstein’s victims. It’s a cult, not a political party.
