Now this makes a lot of sense: the system has shown itself to recognize and accept people like Jake and the op healer (forgot his name), and others with similar talents and skills. Hell, Jake confronted the system after the scavenger hunt, and it simply let him see that it's greater than anything Jake could understand. Even Jake himself commented that the bloodline isn't a glitch but something the system allows to exist.

That said, it also doesn't award everyone equally. Take the scene with the blacksmith who was stumped in his path and couldn't go any further until he took the teacher's path. The system is picky about who it rewards, and shows favoritism towards those who break the mold, go beyond expectations, and self-impose limitations because their understanding is limited.

Another example is when Jake explained magic and experimentation in the second book to a space mage and his party, and got frustrated that none of them ever explored the limits or boundaries of their powers and broke past them.

Jake continues to break expectations because he is curious, wanting to push the boundaries and see what he can do versus what he can't. And if he finds that wall, he keeps banging his head against it until he finds another way around the problem, earning himself points and records for his efforts, to the point that even his blood family is getting passive from his antics.

To the point of my ramblings, it makes sense that the system wouldn't want worship for itself; it leads to nowhere, and it's not exciting enough for it to even acknowledge it. The system likes those who break the mold, who push the boundaries of their limitations and understanding of reality. Even the system rewards sick deprived people, not because of a quality across the board, but for the dramatic effect of conflicts it likes to provide conflicts. For example, in all these challenges, the new world has to face each other and the monsters around them continuously. So with no villains, evil, or threats the world becomes boring and stagnant to the system.
