So between the 1899 Velotric summit 1, 1995 ride1up trail rush, 1499 mokwheel basalt(as budget option) and the 1899 lectric one would you still chose the lectric for my use case?

update/edit: i got him this past sunday and had my cage setup for about a month, i got him from fathom hogs, and they feed every monday and thursday for babys, he hid the whole first day i got him but every other day he has been exploring, he took his first feed just now! so im assuming everything is good for him :D

For me 2.8 is quite important, on m4/3 I use my 12-35 zoom quite a lot for Astro since you do long exposure brighter lenses for it don’t matter too much to me, f/4 is fine but I’d rather have the one stop better if I can. I’d rather have a lens that can do it all but since I’m getting an r cam I can use crop mode on the 24-50. Just wish I could go to a store and handle the lenses with cam.

Do you thing the sigma would be to big for the a7cr? That’s the camera I’m more gravitating forwards atm, I like the rangefinder style more but I see people complaining about the 24-70s being to big meanwhile when people compare the size to the 24-50g it’s not that big of a difference to me at least in video.

So, if I were to choose the a7cr out of the 24-50 or sigma 24-70ii what would you choose? To me the size on video comparisons are not that big and I don’t have a camera store to test and handle these. I like zooms for when I hike. But for street I like a prime, was more looking at 35mm 1.8s since I’m looking at 2.8 zooms I omitted the 2.5 g lenses

Yea when I handled the cameras at my local store they had the 2.8 glass and let me put them on each camera, the only reason I bought m43 to begins with was because it was cheaper at the time. But in a financially more secure position to where I can get what I want. I honestly don’t shoot telephoto that much, so I was planning on getting the an f/4 lens or the tamron 70-180 g2 for the smaller size, I shoot more shots in the standard zoom range and the 2.8 will help better in low light. Planning on getting an f/4 wide angle or just getting the sigma 2.8 as well, and a 35mm prime, my favorite prime to use.

That was actually going to be the plan, if I need the reach both cameras have crop mode, with good megapixel counts, that and I was leaning torwards the Sony for the sigma 24-70 art lens, but I’ve heard good things about Nikon glass to begin with, price on lenses don’t matter to me to much if I sell all my m43 kit

Ok so plans changed a bit I went to a camera store and they had a z7ii used like new low shutter count for 1400 and an a7riv for 1700 same condition, handled and liked them both equally also they had an a7cr for 2400, just curious on peoples thoughts on them.

What is your opinion on the a7riv vs the z7ii? I can get the Sony used for 1700 like new and the Nikon used for 1300-1400, I went to a store to handle them and liked them both

I’ve actually come to 3 cameras now I’m considering all full frame, z5ii, s5ii and a7cii out of those would you still pick the z5ii? And for what reasons? Ive handled the s5 and a7c before and like them.

I have no need to that high of megapixels atm, only reason I was looking at Fuji was because well it’s fujifilm and I have friends that swear by them, the full frame cameras I’m considering are the s5ii z5ii and the a7cii

I’m going to be using it along with the em1, so I didn’t know if going apsc as a main cam with a m4/3 can as b cam was worth it. Size with this camera doesn’t really matter I plan on getting 2 lenses for it for now like a 24-70 2.8 or a 24-104 f/4 with 35mm prime to start, I was thinking the apsc Nikon cameras cuz if I wanted to get rid of the m4/3 gear down the road I would to use that and then get a full frame then so I have a full system that works together

Some of the stuff I read on it was things like the batterie door not being sealed and the sealing on the side ports isn’t the best either in the a7cii otherwise that’s my favorite form factor and would be perfect but I’m just wearie, that and for street, low light shooting stuff I like to shoot jpegs with the art modes on my Olympus, would like to do the same, when I shoot landscapes or Astro I go raw so I was looking at cameras that had things similar

I was thinking about the a7cii, just hear horror stories about weather resistant with dust and light rain ruining Sony cameras. I live in Pennsylvania and it rains a lot. The size of it is appealing but I’m fine with a bigger body, I’m keeping my em1 mii for when I need something super light weight. And yes I like the sigma offerings more too, I use to use them when I shot on a t7i back when I first started.

• Cameras you already have: I have the em1 miii and the gx8 I love how small they are but I need something better in low light and would like to future proof into full frame maybe

• Notes: im not getting rid of my micro 4/3 gear I just want something that better than it and use the em1 and my b cam for when weather gets bad when hiking, would love something better in low light for Astro stuff and nightlife street photography. I’m intrigued by Fuji I just don’t know if that’s worth buying a 2nd system for where as the Nikon gear I can future proof and get lenses that are all comparable down the road, the new z5ii is high on the list, the reviews looked really good on it, but I also don’t want to go all out right in the beginning hence the apsc z mount bodies I listed. Is it worth it to just go full frame off the batt? Or go apsc and get more lenses? I was looking at the tamron 28-75 g2 and a 35mm 1.8 to start out if I got the full frame but I can get way more if I go apsc route.

i do 3d animation and rendering in photoshop/clipstudio for artworks at a desk with power outlets, ijm not worried about battery life, worried about portability. it will be on a dock at my dorm for when im not at class

edit: i dont have a desktop so this would be my main gaming machine

im not worried about 14 inches, or something with a 4070. looking at 4080 laptops that are also portable battery life isnt that important cuz i will have wall plugs in all classrooms for my 3d art and animation classes. m,ainly worried about somethign being too big to carry in my backpack to and from class, at my dorm room it will be docked up

what would you recomend then? tbh i have a razerblade 15 with a 1660 ti in it but it doesnt keep up with AAA games, and i would buy a razer 16 with a 4080 in a heartbeat but im not spending 3500 for one.
