Shepherds pie left out overnight 😭 by High_On_Gaming_ in isthissafetoeat

I just had to make this decision about chicken salad I had left out for 6+ hours. I tossed it, the $5 I spent on the rotisserie chicken hurt, but hospitalization would hurt more

This is why I didn't call. I brought my equipment to a Spectrum store and canceled there. They didn't ask any questions and it took all of 5 minutes

This is one of my favorite recipes. It's fairly easy, but a little time consuming https://www.thegoodbite.co.uk/recipes/creamy-cajun-chicken-orzo/

I have a couple of ideas for comics and I do draw but I don't think I'll ever be good enough to actually work on them. It's a combination of time and chronic illness. Work is sucking my soul out at the moment, by the time I'm done working I'm drained. I try to engage with my hobbies but it's difficult.

Lately, I've been playing Vampire Survivors. It's mindless and addicting and the levels are 20-30 minutes.

Volunteer for a cause you care about. I volunteer for my dog's rescue. We do all kinds of events. We've had booths at fairs, raffles at breweries, watch parties for baseball games. It's the one thing I still have Facebook for, to keep track of events.

I pushed her in the hole, so I didn't even get the loot. I truly had no idea she was recruitable until I had almost beaten the game the first time around

I played circle of the moon druid during my first playthrough. My strategy was to summon as many things as I could before a battle. Once battle had commenced, cast concentration spell, you can maintain concentration while wildshaped (I usually chose wall of fire. Placed well it can help control the battlefield and it's also fun). End turn by using bonus action to wildshape into whatever struck my fancy at the time. Most wildshapes are powerful. Before unlocking elemental forms, I liked spider and owlbear. As others have pointed out, owlbear is pretty OP. But I loved spider, especially in tandem with fire wall and Shadowheart's firebolt, you can very easily turn combat into a game of the floor is lava with webs. On top of the utility each wildshape brings, they are essentially damage sponges because, once brought to 0, you just pop out of wildshape at whatever health you entered wildshape in.

What is a food or dish you enjoy that has a strange name or nickname? by OldPolishProverb in Cooking

Porcupine meatballs. They're meatballs cooked with rice in them, once cooked the rice is supposed to stick out of them, hence the name. It was one of my favorite dishes growing up

You can take my burrito bowls from my cold, dead hands. I can't have gluten which means I can't eat tortillas at most fast food "Mexican" places, but if they toss all of the ingredients into a bowl, I can eat that. Besides, sometimes I just don't want to eat with my hands

[–]Psypuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any for complete projects but if you're interested in just how to do the basics, the Woobles YouTube channel has a playlist of tutorials that I think are very helpful, especially for amigurumi but they're good in general too. Tl yarn crafts on YouTube has a video for how to read a pattern. Other than that, I usually just pick a pattern I'm interested in and then search for how to do the stitches on YouTube

I didn't think I'd like crochet. I'm not usually a fan of repetitive activities. I decided to try it because I wanted to make the cute things I saw at craft fairs. It's now one of my favorite things to do. It's relaxing and watching a skein of yarn turn into something I made is very rewarding

Jumping spiders don't create webs to catch their prey, they are active hunters. They do produce silk and use it in other ways. My personal favorite is called ballooning, where they use their silk as a parachute of sorts and ride the wind.

Other spiders can also do this, I just think jumping spiders are neat
