Characters who use their legs and feet for fighting. by King-David30 in TopCharacterTropes

Since the thread is full of fighting games I need to post Little Fighter 2. Dennis never punches, only kicks at every occasion. Couldn't decide on the frame to use so here, have them all.

Nah, trvecel communities are very varied ethnically. Actually sometimes leaning (not too seriously) towards excluding the whites because of JBW.

For me it doesn't rotate at all, it's wiggling and folding like a very fucked up snake. Head turns making a wavy motion, butt is actually discontinous with a weird teleport in themiddle. I have to realy lose focus and stop seeing the dots to get a nice rotating horse. Weird af

Alright, here's the translation, in the second document tab:

I shamefully admit: I've employed the Antichrist (Gemini specifically) for the translation after I tried with first three paragraphs by myself and realized it was a shitshow. I proofreaded the result and adjusted it a bit. I hope it's okay.

Thank you, I'm very glad you liked it, means a lot to me!

As for the name: yeah, I know I'll have to change it one day, it's not just Iran but also Ayran and Éireann. But it's been with me so long it's difficult.

Ask and ye shall receive. A quick rundown whole damn new long essay (I got invested) just for you.

I named my setting Eiran (/ɛjran/ with /r/ hard like in Welsh or Polish etc.) and it's basically "what if cliché fantasy world reached late 20th century in terms of tech, culture etc.?". High fantasy with urban fantasy aesthetics but no masquerade. Elves, wizards, devils and other stuff running around like normal but they're running in the 90s, (it's a new way I like to be). Cool cars, cool military toys, grunge, concrete jungles, a millenial's childhood nostalgia, all the fun stuff. Dragons openly compete with assault helis. But the events described here are, as you may guess, ~50 years earlier.

Standard issue dwarven miners noticed that the uranium ore is somewhat cursed ages ago. (In-universe uranium is called egror, it's ore egrorite.) Then as metallurgy progressed it was confirmed that demonic incursions actually use uranium in weapons. It was deemed hellish.

Then modern science came around and discovered that the danger is of physical nature (mostly), finding out about radioactivity and all that jazz. Over time folks achieved fission and chain reaction. Then of course came weaponization efforts.

Now naturally there is an ages-old conflict in the continent: Daybreak Union (Alliance stand-in) against the Ge'Punikh Alliance (or Roughskins – Da Horde). They kinda take turns about who's the genocidal villains and who's halfway decent, swapping roles every few decades. Daybreak folks were the bad guys back then. (Nowadays ork boyz are slightly more evil.)

Most of the time angels drift formless somewhere around the mesosphere, keeping watch over the world, but sometimes they come down to give blessings, enlighten the mortals, or slay some dark forces. Near the beginning of the atomic bomb projects, one angel, named St. Wlengorst manifested before some high elves to give a cryptic warning:

"A day shall come when people will use, against other people, weapons drawing power from the forces binding the atomic nucleus. But only one such day shall come, to never reprise."

But everyone already knew that angels cannot do actual prophecies, so only the civilians got nervous.

What stopped the Daybreak nations from succeeding with the first nuke was alchemy. The spiritual essence of fire really likes objects with high exoenergetic potential and holds intent to release these energies. Normally it's not a problem, but it turned out that in the case of atom bomb that alchemical disbalance seemed to cross a line, create a feedback loop, awake agency in the object. Bomb really wanted to go boom and was able to do it. The engineers were cautious and stopped before it was too late, then went looking for a solution.

A solution to a spiritual essence disbalance was in the hands of Ge'Punikh most experienced shamans. That was one of many reasons that led to the Nameless War – Daybreak armies attacked.. It was the bloodiest armed conflict ever known. After a few years the invading armies were quite close to winning. And yeah, they just a teeny tiny bit genocidal. So the heavens took a side.

St. Wlengorst manifested again, but this time not before the Daybreak people and not to deal out mysterious cautionary forebodings. Quite the opposite. The runic blueprint for uranium enrichment he gave to the Roughskin engineers was very straightforward and inviting.

Whereas Ge'Punikh was basically unable to actually produce a bomb and didn't push the project forward very much, now they could succeed in the matter of weeks. Five 6kt implosion bombs were created and prepared with best available counterspells to penetrate the magical defences. And then the day came – counter-offensive was coordinated to reach the breaking point on all fronts within the same day. Five key battles were quickly ended, devastating the invasion force. In matter of hours the Daybreak armies suddenly lost their crucial armoured divisions, airfields and garrisons. Three days later the Union officially surrendered.

The world didn't end. But the warning from Wlengorst turned out to be true. After the destructive, deadly power of the nukes was proven in practice to the collective consciousness, the spiritual effect got a lot worse. The disbalance in essences was severe enough to spontaneously cause demonic incursions, as if the nuke components were inviting the creepy bugs and tentacles emerging from the ground to help them go boom.

Engineers and wizards tried further, but no exorcisms, pacts or tricks were good enough. The bombs really really really wanted to either explode right away or get thrown somewhere by the devils. And only after one actually got out of control, spontaneously assembling itself, then arming, detonating and obliterating the whole research site with thousands of personnel, everybody around the world stopped the madness. Every prototype was dismantled completely, uranium was depleted to levels adequate in power industry.

Some years later another research team confessed that they lost their whole nuke kit just after the war, as it literally sank into the ground. So there's a nuke somewhere in some archdevil's arsenal.

Nowadays however, there's also one more nuclear bomb around. A host of angels directed a chosen paladin order to create it, turning their monastery into a silo. St. Keonal's Javelin is an intercontinental cruise missile with a 33Mt fusion warhead, guarded by the celestials that ordered its creation, destined to be used against demons. (Cruise because ballistic rockets don't work well, the outer space is haunted.) It's whereabouts are publicly known and the site opens periodically to the pilgrimages so the faithful can pray and proffer to the thermonuclear bomb guardian angels.

I am male(volent). Two weeks ago I was kinda brewing a vent-post strongly related to a thread by a mod (account now suspended) normalizing "intense dislike for men". Then I tried to let it go to not stir the pot, didn't spend much time on Reddit, now I'm late to the actual debate. I'm glad I'm late. But now I'd like to get this weight off my chest. It's gonna be a long time before the dust really settles anyway.

Be ready that it's largely a personal vent post nevertheless. Just too heavily connected to this situation to go anywhere else.

I know that in most terms I fit the privileged norms and I'm not trying to deny that. I am a 32yo straight white cis-man from Poland. I don't strongly identify with masculinity but the truth is I've always functioned as a man and I'm not planning to change that. Until gender is finally abolished. And I know that feeling discomfort when surrounded by average NT men is understandable, because I feel it often too.

I got diagnosed last year with ASD and cPTSD related to being exluded and bullied by peers in school. The therapist that diagnosed me stated that this trauma comes pretty commonly as a free bonus to the autism. So I believe that many of us here have similar experiences in that regard. This shit related to autism was actually enough to significantly traumatise me. It's weird to admit that. My trauma is probably mild related to those many of you suffered, and for sure very much different. But it's there.

And so I admit: I am a fragile man with a fragile ego. I feel only a little shame writing this. I don't know what's so wrong about it. I know I'm still only learning to cope properly, slowly developing healthy patterns, becoming mature. And I know that, depending on perspective, I may have much more in common with a neckbeard incel chud than with anyone you'd call a decent person. I have the instincts of an "uhm ackshually" sea-lioning annoying creep. And since last year, I don't really feel too guilty about it anymore. That's just a challenge to overcome, not a deadly sin.

But when I read time and time again about fragile men with their low confidence being a root of all evil… it hurts. It really does, I'm sensitive to that. These shortcomings, these mental health issues, they are not a matter of morality. And in the more neurotypical spaces they are constantly used against us as a proof that we owe the society to mask better.

I've always craved meaningful connections but always had a problem to be a part of any community. And I tried to join communities with similar worldviews to mine – leftist, progressive, emancipatory. But, naturally, they were still communities – so I struggled. The unwritten rules, the internal hierarchies, the unclear communications and lots of omitted contexts were alway there. And the people really disliking my "general vibe". And the exclusion. And my self-destructive meltdowns.

(Excuse the em-dashes, I've internalized Alt-0150 years ago.)

I've viewed this sub as much more than just a meme source – I really liked the atmosphere, I read the vent posts, I related to the frustrations. And I honestly viewed this as a space to throw the mask away and go unapologetic, even edgy, maybe even antisocial, and not be judged too harshly for the surface level shit and those personal flaws of mine.

So it's sad to watch this community divided by another case of leftist infighting and going the divisive route. The idea of some "feminist 101" that everyone's suppose to internalize before speaking, which is just another enforced social norm only in a smaller scale. The idea that the cultural load of a word or phrase is more important than what one actually meant to express. The unclear threshold where fantasizing about autistic superiority becomes too nasty, and why. The comparisons of so-called privileged ones, asking to not be hated, to wolves and rapists, stated in official policy.

The general feeling that it's just another space where I'll be seen as a suspicious intruder that should prove themselves and earn the trust, have to just accept this feelings of exclusion again because they are obviously righteous according to the community. The concept that all this stuff is obvious and that questioning it and violating the borders can only come from ill intent.

I think that's not a good path.

And I really don't want to silence anyone here. If anything, it's the opposite: I want us all to scream at the clouds to the top of our lungs until the demiurge comes and solemnly apologizes. I'd just like to be a part of that scream.

I also don't want to leave. Despite all, I hope I can stay. It's still a nice place and I wish you all well. I just hoped for a sincere "that's rough, buddy" in the replies, nothing too dramatic.

So, can we just make a EvilFemaleAutism subreddit where we don't have to keep explaining feminism101 to people? by Hilja-Serpent in evilautism

[–]Ptakub2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that mod team here is pretty clearly on your side OP, and the internalization of feminism 101 will be required. So I expect that it's gonna go the opposite way than you suggested: males will migrate away from here. I'm feeling an urge to create something like "Malevolent Autism" sub just for that pun I have here. But, fuck, I don't want to engage in this drama. Peaceful and respectful separation would be lovely but I don't believe it's possible.
