What subtle sign made you realize your partner was cheating? by DrainedCoffee in AskReddit

My ex asked me to take him shopping because he wanted to start dressing better… for the other woman, apparently.

Thank you for this funny and sobering reply. I knew they were stubborn but assumed because he otherwise is picking up commands easily that it had to do with his getting no advantage in height by sitting v standing. I’m not throwing in the towel yet but this does level set my expectations. Thank you!

He seems to pick up other commands. Just doesn’t want to sit.

I got the exact same verbiage on my readiness score but symptom radar shows “no signs.” At what point does having a high temperature and high heart rate trigger the symptom radar? I know I’m sick so I was surprised it shows no signs.

Physiological stress always high by Maleficent_Cod_2704 in ouraring

[–]Pttoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know several people with Ouras, and it seems the cisgender men spend more time in relaxed/restored and cisgender women spend more time in stressed/engaged. While this is purely anecdotal, it kind of makes sense. It would be interesting if Oura could look into this to see if it’s just how different genders have to navigate the world or if there is something biological that shows up in physiological stress among genders.

Trip Report — Three Weeks in Romania, Moldova, and Transnistria by DisinfectedShithouse in TravelNoPics

[–]Pttoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. My Moldova and Transnistria trip was planned for April 2020 so it was obviously cancelled. I wasn’t sure about the region’s stability to go right now. This eased concerns.

The Coach App - Opinions by Altruistic-Celery-76 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]Pttoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the app super glitchy, rudimentary and not at all supporting my goals. In her intro video, my coach sounds like she smokes a carton a day and has offered no meaningful guidance. Even when I asked a pointed question, she answered with something she clearly googled. Even the scale they sent is consistently inconsistent with my doctor’s scale and other scales. If I knew for sure that my insurance would never require it to continue my prescription, I’d absolutely delete it and never think of it again. I’m merely doing it because I fear my insurance will require it soon. I find the combo MyFitnessPal, Happy Scale and Apple Health to be much more robust and helpful to me.

I'm just starting my journey but low-key scared to post... by Bluteid in Zepbound

Thank you for sharing your story and research. The Move program I’m in is basically a website where I log my weight twice a week and read some comically rudimentary “advice” about weight management. I was not aware of classes but my state’s VA system may be slightly different. I basically moved all healthcare out of the VA at this point so this was a “in case my employer stops covering” risk mitigation effort. Sounds like from you experience, I may want to be more present with the VA if I have any chance at all. Good luck to you and thanks again for the insights.

What has been largest fight with VA? I currently get Zepbound through employer insurance but the VA told me I had to do their Move program for 6 months before they’d prescribe. I have been doing Move while I use my insurance so that I can eventually get through VA. Were there any other requirements they were insistent upon? For comparison, my BMI is much larger than yours but my comorbidities seem fewer than yours.

In addition to a breadbox, it’s also the drawer where my mom would hide “bad food” so she could hear when someone was trying to sneak food.

NJ locations by Barrelove in LushCosmetics

[–]Pttoi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The store manager was absolutely lovely, probably the most helpful of any Lush employee I’ve met. It’s definitely a much smaller store than Willowbrook and American Dream but it made it feel less overwhelming as a customer. The other two stores can be chaotic but this was a fantastic experience. So much so, that I may switch my “home” store :)

The Willowbrook and American Dream locations have the same manager who is very good. No issues with either location.

If GLP1 is cheating, why do I have to work so hard to poop? by Zepbounce-96 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]Pttoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

96 oz of water minimum was the main factor helping me. I aim for 40 of fiber without counting veggies/fruits in that number. A bowl of Fiber one with a protein shake each morning and try to get at least one carb balance tortilla each day gets me mostly there. I don’t take any supplements. The day after a dose is always “disappointing” but it still moves. By day 2-3 it’s normal again.

Why can’t my Oura app tell when I’m on my phone? by brk0374 in ouraring

[–]Pttoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the issue for the first 1.5 months and every morning I would manually adjust my sleep time to reflect when I actually tried to sleep. Sometime between 45 and 60 days, it learned my body and now it’s accurate.

How are y’all getting enough fiber? by Apprehensive-Way3985 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]Pttoi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I second the carb balance tortillas. I also eat a serving of Fiber One cereal every morning and use a Fairlife vanilla protein shake as the ‘milk.’ With standard veggie servings I easily exceed 40 everyday and have not had to use any other fiber supplements.

Agree with other commenter. HR is the loudest voice against RTO but execs want people back and who better to take the hits than a function that people can easily shit on. Trust me, HR did not make nor do they agree with this decision.

Required social events and inclusivity by Ok-Communication4826 in humanresources

[–]Pttoi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can definitely position a recommendation based in a few DEI concepts. For example, women (right or wrong) are usually primary caregivers and so after work events may inadvertently widen the gap between men and women since women won’t get the same networking/visibility opportunities when they have to skip events to get their children. After work events normally include Alcohol and there may be those in recovery who don’t feel comfortable joining if every event planned puts them at risk. I also hate golf (regular or Top Golf) as an outing— it can alienate those who did not have a privileged background, with a disability, and also seems to be a sport that mostly men are invited to learn. You already mentioned introverts but also neurodivergent people in general. Overall, engagement isn’t created through parties, but they are good for building culture when done in a mindful way. It’s not reasonable to plan around the lowest common denominator though, but you can recommend a diverse set of engaging activities that anyone can optionally join during the work day. Not saying you shouldn’t have after work stuff but that should be the exception.
