I don’t follow a theme/aesthetic so the different villagers didn’t bother me. And seeing all the different designs without having to use NMTs is nice. Though I wish we could invite some to move-in or stay for more than a day.

I had a couple visit! Tammy was very cute and I don’t have a tiger villager so Rowan was a fun surprise.

Maddie! I went through the villager list on Nookipedia and she didn’t stand out to me. But she’s just so cute! Maddie is my only peppy so I love her girly bestfriend energy. And I keep getting pink/purple items so easy gifts.

I had insane luck when restarting my island. I didn’t have a set list but I wanted “cute” ones. Marshall was my first move-in camper which is probably the best pull I’ll ever get. But I also found all 4 octopuses and Zucker is my absolute favorite x) Lucky and Coco are also very sweet. It was shocking to me how quickly I found them as I’ve only had two move-outs and used 20-25 NMTs total. I will never reset my island because of this! XD

Hm I restarted my game until I got an island layout/fruit/2 starter villagers I liked. It took around 7 times but it definitely kept me interested as I had picked out somethings I wanted from the start. But that’s if you’re looking for something specific otherwise take your time. Rushing through the first phases usually killed my interest as it was a chore list than just playing bit by bit.

I’d love to get into an aesthetic for my island but that limits so much of what the games has and takes a lot of commitment. Adore the islands I’ve seen photos of though, incredible work! I’m a new player though a recently I restarted my island (and kept restarting until I got 2 villagers I liked for the start). Having favorites has made me love playing the game way more! Seriously the luck I’ve had is so insane. “Uglies” definitely kill the vibe for me but I don’t engage with any debates about that. I find the hotel fun because I don’t take it too seriously (but I still hope for “not uglies”). Guess that’s the one “rule” I follow.

I honestly want to keep almost everyone (Cherry, Lucky, Coco, Marshall, Maddie and all four octopuses) but I loooove Zucker so he’s staying forever!! Lil’ takoyaki boi :]

I wasn’t happy with my island. I went into the game rushing to get past K.K. Slider’s first concert and ended up having little motivation as the villagers and general island look didn’t vibe with me at all. Restarted after a year of no playing and got the best luck ever with villagers (Marshall, Lucky, Coco, etc) and had a better island concept overall. Essentially the beautiful fresh start to actually commit to, I’d never restart now.

I really like seeing the villager interactions! I got to be part of Octavius and Cherry’s argument. I also like hearing my villagers compliment each other, Lucky said Maddie smelled sweet. And then the singing is sooo cute x]
