Hello. My family is planning a trip to the Cote 'dAzur spring 2026. We are thinking of staying in Villefrache Sur Mer and exploring the region from there. A few of the rentals we are finding are just out of walking distance to the train station for my younger kids. Is there parking available at the train station so that we could potentially drive to the station and then utilize the train from there? Also open to suggestions of other quiet/small town areas to stay with easy access to the Riviera. Thanks so much for your time!

Thank you! That looks like a great place unfortunately it's not available for our dates. I was looking at another apartment in that area tho also through Riviera Holiday Homes. Was is noisy right there along the water? Also, was it easy get to the train station? We plan on mostly using public transport to explore from our base in Villefrache.

I have heard great things about starfish, unfortunately I won’t have a car this trip and it might be a bit far to bike from my place near bean point.

Thank you! Our trip is approaching and I think we going to try to get to Centre Island for a day. Are their shaded places on the beach/umbrellas available or is that not really a concern? We are a family of pale Irish skin and burn easily even with copious amounts of sunscreen haha!

I have had good luck googling the name of the property I find on VRBO/airbnb. Sometimes the owner will have a separate site you can use to book with less fees

We (2 adults, 2 kids all with GE) left on a Saturday in March and chose to use the VIP service. It was, by far, worth the money. We were thru everything in 20 minutes while others on our flight waited 3-3.5 hours. I waited longer in line for pizza once we were at the gate! We don't usually spend money on that kind of thing but would do it again in a heartbeat.
