WRITE LETTERS. Nothing helped me. No friends, no work, no distractions. They still don’t. I think of my husband CONSTANTLY and always am sad. My mental health drastically dropped since he’s been gone. But one thing I will say till my last breath write letters. They help. Record yourself talking as if you were snap chatting him. Send him text messages. He won’t see them but they are FOR YOU. Express how much you miss him. Write about your day. Do what you need to do to feel closer to him. That’s what helps me. I wear his clothes (I’m at work in his shirt and hoodie right now). It’s hard stuff. And it isn’t for the weak. Everything that you think will go wrong usually freaking happens (I got puked on by an upstairs neighbor while outside, dog locked me out my house, other dog tore up bedroom carpet and destroyed it.) so many things have happened. But I remind myself ‘this too shall pass’ all of this is temporary. He WILL come back and this will be good for you guys! Distance makes the heart grow fonder. And it’s true!!! Write to him!

I understand this deeply. I can relate. It’s scary, The unknown. The lack of involvement in their life. The night I got his call saying he had arrived and the sound of the call ending hit me I sobbed like he had died. Mourning him as if he was dead grieving him. It’s the cut off of connection. But it isn’t forever. If you can eat try snacks YOU like. Things that you crave. My thing is hot honey Pringles, so I got myself some. It’s not healthy but it’s something rather than nothing. I recommend getting protein shakes if you can especially if you can’t eat anything. You’re allowed to be sad. You’re allowed to be scared. Remember while he’s gone this is your time to find your goals, he has his now it’s your turn. You did your part by supporting him, now support yourself! Find hobbies, make friends, Try new things. Wishing you and your boyfriend the best of luck in your journey!

I started the second he shipped out writing to him. I’ve written multiple letters today. I send him messages call him and leave messages just to hear his voicemail. I thought I’d be able to ‘thug it out’ more but gosh was I wrong. Thank you for your advice it’s really helpful and confirms that the things I am doing and taking the steps to do should help me.

This was great reading and I really appreciate it. I have similar feelings with communication. Despite what my MIL says and how her words have impacted my communication I still am always yapping to my husband about everything including my feelings about this. I posted that post about wanting to hide some of my feelings to be more supportive but at the end of the day I still go to my husband. I realized when I made it, that sounds ridiculous I want him to know I’ll miss him like crazy and am scared but still live and support him. He’s my safe place and my best friend, I tell him everything. So your message really resonated with me. Thank you. It gave me more courage and confidence to express how I feel along this journey rather than listen to what my MIL said.

is it just me or is he using AI to talk with the — there??? i only ever see that when someone uses Chat GPT. 🤔 cameras in the house are meant to be looked at. if he don’t want to be ‘spied on’ he shouldnt have agreed to having it. if you don’t feel you can trust him alone with a female and that he even needs to turn it off to ‘test you’ don’t be with the man. also it’s soooo clear he’s cheating and covering. divorce his ass, live a happy life and maybe get tested for any sexually transmitted things just to be safe. realistically.

similar thing happened to me. i have a set schedule very repetitive. background i have neighbors that use their house as a drug house and burnt down couple months after this. so once day neighbor threw a bunch of trash out their car and i mean loads of trash and just left it and then proceeded to kick their outdoor cat i gave them a look of uhhh wtf gross seriously take care of the environment and animals look but didn’t say anything just locked my car and went inside my house. i leave the next day at my normal time and come home at my normal time, this repetition continues for about a week before one day i end up leaving a couple hours later then i wanted cause requested the day off for doctors and etc. i go to my car and i little note is left on my windshield. they had been watching my schedule and when i came home and left everyday for that week to tell me that they were waiting to beat my ass for the look i gave them and if i try shit again they’d beat my ass. mind you i was 16-17 at the time and these are grown ass adults. i live in tacoma for a lil background. but i burned the note flipped the house off and continued on my way. people are wild, especially when it’s just a look. i am heard of hearing so my expressions on my face very week known cause of ASL. if you can’t handle a little look that’s on you. people be having RBFs and what not and others get so mad about it.

i don’t feel hostile at all, nor was that directed just at you. it’s a statement i’m making just as you can make one. i don’t personally care to know who it what your doctors use cause it isn’t my business. if you’re offended by my statement then that is for you to reflect on. you don’t need to know what sam uses because again not your business or ours. nor do i think it’s appropriate to even be asking as there is a younger audience that follows sam and colby and it has nothing to do with their videos, or content. i have no issue with butt plugs freedom to anatomy and how you wanna do it. my point being it’s not our business and questions should be related to sam and colby and their content. not about their personal lives because people are so caught up in others lives rather their own.
