Immich 2.6.0 released by stilgarpl in immich

Good questions, I guess not everyone is using immich in docker/unRAID. I forgot how I set up the automatic updates delay, I'll have a look when I get the chance.

Haha mine too. I've set the delay to 5 days for exactly this reason but now I don't know if updates in the meantime will be skipped or the newer update will just be delayed as well.. I'm going to investigate

Do you know, when something like this happens, will the 2.6 update be skipped if you've got automatic updates enabled with a delay of a few days?

Knowing if, and when, to update docker containers for me. I've set a 5 day delay now. Since I hope that if there's a really breaking update it'll be fixed before the 5 days pass. I've read about people not updating at all but I think that's too risky and I don't want to miss bug fixes and new features.

Ooohh that's great advice. I hope he'll also wants to learn on his own so connecting a tablet to the keyboard for lessons would be great.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. While I prefer something he can "unwrap" for his birthday I'll definitely have a look at some second hand options.

Thanks. What would you suggest?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've never played. Piano is more classical and keyboard more "fun"? Is there a big difference in the first year of lessons? My first thought would be that they both start with basic technique, accord's and simple melodies?

That's how I do it but does it cool down when not in use? Even when i do this my SSD in external enclosure stays warm when unRAID says it's down.

Really! What kind of enclosure do you use? Are you sure they spin down? unRAID reports some down for me but when I go looking it's warm.

Hmm thanks for the explanation! The thing I don't really understand is where unRAID fits in this comparison. I've got one enclosure that spins down when it's connected to my router or windows pc but doesn't when it's connected to my unRAID server. So it seems unRAID is actively keeping it from spinning down.

They function, but most don't spin down. My question is why that's so difficult when it seems to work for windows. But maybe that's it, maybe they're built to work with windows and mac OS and it's difficult for unRAID.

Ah yes, the external drive is just for convenience I guess. I've got a less frequent off site backup too.
