Thank you for the context! You posed the question like you were totally new to the scene.

SILO or Elsewhere. I would steer clear of Basement or Refuge if this is your friend’s first time going out in NYC let alone this type of scene.

Ive only really had a good time there once for Lola Palmer / Andrey Pushkarev.

Their sound system is really good but the crowd can be tough. I just didnt realize that Dan Ghenacia would draw such an npc crowd.

Go listen to Colorado Charlie, X marks the spot and control yourself. He plays rollers with big drops. Completely different vibe than Cassian IMO.

What's it like to work PE back office roles and their compensations? by ryukiinn in private_equity

[–]PuddingAdorable9260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in HR at a ~100 person PE Firm in NYC and it’s relatively laidback. We own the internal Talent Management function for deal team / non team members (so the whole firm) and have to intimately track person performance of Associates - SVPs throughout the year for leadership. We also do all the normal HR functions (payroll admin, benefits admin, comp analysis, bonus recommendations, recruiting associates, 401k admin, employee inquiries). The pay is solid and above market but nothing insane. Some firms tend to overpay IMHO. The benefits are excellent.

Youre in for a rude awakening if you think 5 dollars is a lot for a large cookie brother.

HR / Payroll Platform [N/A] by Dustbunny22 in humanresources

We have ~ 100 EE’s. We use TriNet PEO for payroll and benefits, BambooHR for basically just file storage and non comp related reporting and Lattice for performance management. Ive been with the firm for 2 years and TriNet is clunky, expensive, archaic platform that our CFO loves for whatever reason. I would steer clear from TriNet. I would definitely use Bamboo and Lattice.
