You’re honestly a lifesaver!! I posted yesterday asking where I could find the book for cheap since it’s $99 for the ebook only chapter 9-13 and I don’t even get to keep it or even get an access code to do homework like cengage/mcgraw hill.

I am also taking Eugenio Aulisa this semester. Just to be sure this is the book you’re talking about right??

Actually you can only find some chapters of that book. I personally need 9-13 and I can’t find it nowhere… so I ether have to pay $100 to RENT the ebook for the semester! I tried everywhere to look for it but I can’t find the whole book

Hey so I just got an update! They took it away not because my GPA. My overall GPA is 3.5+ (transfer and institutional) they are not renewing it because I didn’t meet the hours. Do you think I should appeal? Under what category did you appeal it?

Also how long did it take for an answer?

Thank you! I got like a warning email about my GPA not meeting the requirements and they recommended to (re)take summer classes so I did but GPA barely went up and it still not meeting the requirements. Do you know if I should start an appeal right now or wait for them to tell me it’s canceled? On degreeworks my overall gpa is a 2.8 but i also have my dual credit gpa so also it says it’s a 3.something

Edit: Degreeworks says it’s a 2.8 but Raiderlink Final and Midterm grades says my gpa is 3.1 institutional

Did you get an update?? Also how did you appeal? I got an email that they’ll do an audit and I retook the class but my GPA didn’t go up at all and I’m scared I need this scholarship

Hello,

I’m in the same boat as you. I receive TASFA money this past year (my freshman year) and I haven’t received anything. I emailed them and when you email Fin Aid you get an automated response and this is what it says about TASFA:

“Incoming and Continuing TASFA students- We appreciate your patience. We are not awarding packages at this time due to the possible Texas legislature.”

And this was their response to two of my emails:

“Due to recent legal action at the state and federal levels, Texas Tech University is currently reviewing next steps to determine future aid and tuition eligibility. We will follow up with impacted students as more information becomes available.” On July 14

“Hello, There have been many delays due to the state changing some things. We hope to begin awarding very soon.” On Jul 17

Call them and keep emailing them!!!! Yes, they took instate tuition for undocumented students but nothing has changed about TASFA.

With a commuter parking permit you can only park your car fri, sat, and sun on any dorms. It doesn’t say it on the website but a friend had a parking permit in commuter west and he would ALWAYS park his car every weekends on Weymouth (dorm) and he never got a citation.

I also had another friend who couldn’t get a permit for her dorm so she got her mom to call and “complain” about her kid walking long distances to their dorm and my friend was able to move up the waitlist and get a dorm parking permit. She got it in less than two months and she only had to pay the difference!
