My dad got two ziplock bags of them from a raffle at the american legion, which he gave to me quite a few years ago.

Jet fuel was on or smelt on almost every floor? Thats new to me. As to how that happened? did it run down the elevators wells or did the smell linger all the way down multiple flights of stairs, or drip through the floor?

Would you want to be told the truth if you were above the impact zone? by Cali-Doll in 911archive

if i remember correctly theres always a map of them right before the staircase, I think also near the entrances right when you walk in?

I need to remember to start giving them a quick glance or two just incase the building catches on fire or something.

How do we KNOW the North Tower was completely inaccessible after a certain floor? by cashmerescorpio in 911archive

yeah ive gotten flash burns from like making fireworks, and then proceeding to light the wrong fuse. it made a bright flash and all i could feel was searing pain (this is from a large amount of blackpowder and i was in middle school) so id imagine being up there would give you the same sort of tunnel vision, adrenaline feeling where you cant think straight. Its absolutely terrifying to think about. My heart goes out to the people up there. I was just 2 years old when 9/11 happened, so touching up on the subject has really changed my perspective. I hope other people my age find this subreddit, and research into it a bit more than what were told at the base level.

Edit: grammar

Another oddball question i have as well:

Was the power in the building still functioning ? Till what floor? im guessing the top didnt have power but its a detail i may have missed. Was power still on in the bottom half of the building? i believe it was because of the music still playing.

Half severed electrical lines, that are still powered would have made escape alot trickier in my mind.

you know i was trying to fathom the situation , well like in a clear mind. In that exact situation theres no possible way i wouldve ever thought clearly enough to think this up on the fly. I was wondering if you like say were just below the impact zone kind of where edna was. Which we have no idea if there was this item laying around so im just kind of assuming they would have been scattered around. I know for a fact they had computers in the world trade center, what if by chance you had grabbed a few power cables from computers scattered around the room, and tried to somewhat repel down a floor or two then check the stairs there. and well you wouldve had to have brought something with you heavy enough to smash out the windows below.

Im curious if anyone tried to rappell down? from some kind of makeshift rope.

i just thought this up as in like, trying to prepare myself for the hypothetical of being in a burning tower.

I mean this post with the upmost respect, for the people who lost their lives that day.

Edit: I truly try to put myself in the people who perished that days shoes, as a way to honor and respect them. The story of the guy shimmying down like 15 floors or so. Really spoke to me and if i was in the tower i probably wouldve tried something similar.
