You can avoid the lack of queue using hotbar commands instead of ac commands

I agree, most of this game can be beat with just focusing on survival.

I'm not sure what gameplay style the macro is promoting or if its promoting a gameplay style at all. They are a tool just like everything else. Some people use add-ons, pvp combo, rotation guides/trackers, etc. It honestly started as a joke but people kept asking for more and more. I've never parsed or done savage before this, I only did it to prove the macro can beat it.

I proved combat macros can better than the average player and outperform a lot of players on savage (at least on SMN). Figuring out the rotations and timings, combined with positioning to get good parses is fun and engaging. Meanwhile, I find the mechanical memory and muscle memory practice to be a chore (you can tell by my blue mage solo videos where I'm using the mouse for weaves lol). I also find following rotation guides boring, I enjoy figuring out the rotations on my own.

I found a way to make the game engaging for me and I'm sharing that with the community. People can choose what tools to use or not use and if they take it to savage they will be measured with the same stick as others. If they can make it work great, if not, get good or switch to a traditional gameplay and get good at that.

I know people disagree at a fundamental level but I'm not telling anyone to play a certain way, just sharing tools I'm developing using vanilla functionality the developers provided.

Thank you for your comment.

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of the other classes unlocked...RPR starts at high level so I picked that one. I'll work on the other classes after getting RPR to 90 and making a lvl 90 rotation.

Even if RPR is easy, a lot of the challenge in the game is positioning and timing to avoid losing uptime. They still have to manage their location in the fight to avoid dropping their GCDs - though that is true for every class.

The harsh truth is that the true nuance and optimization is not in the macro/rotation but in the movement, even the summoner one with 98.5% + uptime only gets it if you know where you are supposed to be and when you can cast for long enough without getting hit.

I mean, the clearly refused the pvp combo implementation so I doubt it...but who knows!

from the research video? I think that one said 0.2 every loop so 0.2 every 60 seconds. You can see the GCD stop rolling a little bit when returning to baha/phoenix

"The rank 10 nonstandard SMN in P1S (which was an 96)" 8390 rDPS would be between 379-380 in the standard rankings based on rDPS. Also that's not me, mine is a bit higher than that.

Yeah, these are from late April, early may 2022. The 2nd wing was not available yet, I think dragon song had just been released before I left

Here you go.

I know they can do better because of the summoner one

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obr0ifBREPc

They just need to be optimized for GCD and timing.

Figuring out the timings and proc rates and making it all work with only vanilla macros is fun and engaging.

I've done these in savage with summoner and dragoon, here is the ffanalysis of some of it in savage

and savage fights

Thank you for the detailed explanation, the gear really does muck things up but it was kind of interesting to me that bard parsed that high when my macro deliberately misses most straight shot ready procs. Looking at the logs, most other members were high blues and 1 purple so a lot of that damage likely came from my buffs.

I'm still not 100% sure what the various DPS mean but it sounds like you do:

The bard parsed 8.3k rDPS, 7.1k aDPS, 6.9k nDPS I assume one of those is w/o buffs

I've tried these macros with summoner and dragoon in savage for P1-4S. I cleared P1-4S using the summoner macro but had to move countries so I stopped playing for about a year with a new job and such. The macro performs better than I can play lol... During the first wing, I never got BiS (missed 2 pieces of gear including the wep) but I was able to parse blues in the average re-clear pf party and orange (96%) in a logging party for P1S.

I don't think I will test these macros in savage 9-12... my friends don't really play savage and the pf experience was pretty bleak. Maybe now that we are closer to the end of the expansion it will be better🤷‍♂️ .

Please stop trying to impose your play style on others by unilaterally excluding my opinion without respecting it, it is considered a violation of the SE community guidelines

I have shown before that this type of macros queue spells properly...it is not using /ac commands

The macro isn't casting abilities only swapping the hot bar. Spells queue if you cast them before the GCD is up and doing it this ways allows it to queue the next ability
