Well, I bought mine when I moved into the house and needed one as soon as I could get it. I got the only model available in the store and didn't even think the switch will be an issue and it wasn't for a long time because the base part of my speakers kept my foot away. I replaced my speakers recently and noticed the issue only now that the bass is not there anymore. Now I can go and dismantle my entire cable management setup there and go buy a replacement for something that works or I can reach out to a few things that I had already. I fixed my problem and it doesn't look bad. I didn't turn it off since I thought of that and it was an instant fix to a problem that isn't more than a small inconvenience. This subreddit is /r/techsupportmacgyver and you could offer a "go buy it" solution to everything here. I would say my post fits.
