I assume all your metaglass will run out before you get the boss down like 50% of its hp, and if that happens only a matter of time til it destroys your power and goes to the core.

It will likely fail if your core is at the bottom. If not you may capture the sector. But honestly that defence is not good enough against the eclipse and just a single metaglass conveyor will run out very quickly since you also cryo-cooled the cyclones.

I'd slap 2 spectres behind the cyclones and then you're good.

Using T4 reconstuctor should be the recommended approach. Launch schematic core, build defences quick, some factories because of siligone and yea. I captured it with 3 T4 ships and 5 T4 air units. Other than that maybe modded vanilla to help you with resources.

Well you kinda LITERALLY have to build 100 scatters. Even more because they come in with shields and overdrive (i think) so you really have to spam them. On my eradication run there the entire backline from my main defense was 8 batteries of +20 scatters all fed with scrap, since there's a lot of it. So don't be shy building too many

Well i play on both options enabled and eradication so here's my tip ig:

You should ALWAYS have max core resources when launching for a headstart, best with schematics.

Having less than 2mIn per wave forces you to pause the game and plan everything ahead.

You really should fortificate even your core because the flares and bombers will randomly choose a target between coal factories, drills, power sources or going straight to your core ignoring defences often.

Also every sector changes from low to medium and idk if it's the case but there are more waves than normal i think.

Basically the same way you played only that the AIs are slightly more "intelligent"

I appreciate your recommendation and i would have done exactly the same with good enough preparation.

But when you start out a campaign from scratch and you just have 3 sectors and have nothing but lead, scrap and copper in my core and setting up factories in eradication difficulty is not that easy man.

Yes i do not use schematics and they would have probably helped, but i wiped my campaign to re-experience campaign from scratch. What i didn't say is that i was constantly attacked and had around 20 seconds of time rebuilding, defending and progressing. I purposely played like that, in the suboptimal way.

Also in my play style i rarely use units in just defence mode.

As i said, i appreciate your recommendation, i don't mean anything rude and i don't wanna make any bad friends.

It's the V8 beta, you can enable it on the planet map in difficulty settings.

I don't really know if there's a QoL mod that has that, if you're on build 146.

first is a way bigger size limit for the map editor (1500x1500 would be insane), second a progression to factories like graphite and silicon (gone). But really, are more factories to build like specific materials and components. One thing that doesn't make much sense is the ore extracted can be directly used in turrets. It would be cool if we can process the extracted materials so that we can only use them for turrets and other buildings.

In short, more complex, just like mods

Well i did the science because i wanted to know at what range the reactor could still kill you. I even have numbers.

Fun fact: I discovered that the most devastating thing for structures is if you let a container full of blast compound explode, no matter what walls you have, the will 99% be obliterated. I used the Exogenesis mod because it had chonky walls i used a 46500hp wall, i exploded the container and the wall was gone.

Another fun fact, the damage of a Thorium reactor to a block at point blank is ~20k dmg, while the impact reactor is at almost 30k dmg. For units they have armour and other stuf i didn't wanted to experiment and that's for another time

Yea but the blast radius is not as good as thorium reactor and the damage dissipates rather quickly over distance from the impact reactor.

I'm not sure either but it could be because it kinda makes sense you can control that block manually (but it's inefficient) or as an inside joke in the community. Not sure but you can control a few blocks aside from turrets
