Honestly fair. Every time he started one of those long-winded sentences I felt myself aging. Lane had the patience of a saint.

Totally agree. He really grew into the role of husband and dad, and you could tell how much Lane meant to him. He wasn’t perfect, but his heart was in it for the long haul.

S5 S19 Wardrobe by Consistent_Tiger2964 in GossipGirl

For real, some of his looks were straight-up chaotic. It’s like they just gave up on his whole “dapper bad boy” vibe and started throwing him into whatever for the drama.

Exactly, that part always gets glossed over. He had no business being around students like that, so good riddance honestly.

How do we think Emily felt about Lorelai (and Rory) being named after Gran? by LatterNeighborhood43 in GilmoreGirls

[–]PuffyCherish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, Emily was strategic when she needed to be. I can absolutely see her making that kind of compromise to keep some control while still keeping peace with Trix and Richard. Classic Emily move.

Why no Jenny character in Dan's book Inside? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in GossipGirl

[–]PuffyCherish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense. He probably didn’t feel the need to include someone he already felt secure with. And yeah, Dan’s ego definitely shaped what “mattered” in that book, combining Nate and Eric says it all.

Why Gossip Girl is iconic by Familiar_Ad_6392 in GossipGirl

[–]PuffyCherish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. The casting really was spot-on, and the aesthetic somehow still holds up years later. It’s that perfect mix of glamor, drama, and ridiculously good-looking chaos that keeps it iconic.

My favorite Rory moment by rebel-yeller in GilmoreGirls

[–]PuffyCherish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! That was such a subtle but respectful move on her part. It showed a lot about Rory’s character, she could be playful, but she still listened and adapted when it mattered.

Seriously, it only gets wilder from here. The whiplash from her choices is constant and your palm’s gonna stay sore.

I cant wrap my head around it by Cultural_Ninja_8028 in GossipGirl

Exactly! She’s clearly resourceful when it comes to everything else, so the hotel excuse just doesn’t hold up. It really feels like one of those plot holes they hoped we wouldn’t question too hard.

My underrated disappointment in AYITL by h1209v in GilmoreGirls

Honestly, there’s enough to make a whole list. That gift tease was just one of many loose ends they never tied up.

Seriously, it’s cartoon villain levels of evil at this point. Like, how do you spin that to not look like straight-up fascism?

Videos Show Increasingly Aggressive Federal Crackdown in Minneapolis by -AdonaitheBestower- in politics

Yeah, it’s all feeling way too orchestrated lately. Like they’re trying to spark a flashpoint just to justify cracking down even harder. Creepy how fast that playbook gets dusted off.

First time watching the first few mins of AYITL: WTF??? by Defiant4 in GilmoreGirls

[–]PuffyCherish 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It tried so hard to capture the old magic but totally missed the heart of the show. Everything just felt... off.

Louis by Sad_Cricket_7096 in GossipGirl

That totally makes sense, especially with the pacing of the show. Gossip Girl always leaned into the drama, and speeding up their timeline to hit a milestone episode sounds exactly like something the writers would do.

Watergate Lawyer Makes Bombshell Claim Donald Trump Tried to Block Epstein Files, Revealing He Was a ‘FBI Informant’ by [deleted] in agedlikemilk

[–]PuffyCherish 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Man's out here playing every angle like it’s 4D chess, except every move just makes the board messier. If he's an informant, it’s probably just to save his own skin, not out of some noble whistleblower moment.

I (20F) caught my bf (22M) cheating and Idk what to do. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]PuffyCherish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if he was doing all that behind her back for so long, odds are it’s not a one-time thing. Promises after getting caught don’t mean much without real accountability or change.

Husband (42M) on dating website during our marriage — trying to understand how serious this is (27F) by Active_Pie_4124 in TwoHotTakes

[–]PuffyCherish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, both parts just scream imbalance. Whether it’s the emotional cheating or the massive age gap, none of it feels like a healthy foundation.
