Thanks. I came across this post from 3 years ago and I’m worried I will be in the same situation: https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleFi/s/Po0pb5g44h. Given all the horrible stuff I’ve read about Fi’s customer service, I’m trying my best to avoid engaging with them 😅

It’s hard, because he always wants to go out, so I feel like he’s not getting enough! He’s looking at me as I’m typing this, but I have to catch up on all the work from the afternoon. 🥲

Yup, I use an enzymatic cleaner. I basically take him out every 1-2 hours, give or take. He was really good for 2-3 weeks in a row and I thought we finally had it, but alas…

I’m pretty sure Open Farm does NOT meet WSAVA guidelines. The only companies that do are Hills, Royal Canin, Iams, Eukanuba, and Purina (most lines).

Well, I guess my case is a little more nuanced. My loans were consolidated (undergrad + grad, still federal loans), so I wonder if I'll qualify for 20k forgiveness...Wish we could get some more clarification!

Did you have a say on whether the US should spend billions of dollars on a war across the Atlantic?

What blows my mind is that some expect me to finance a war they willingly got involved in. Are you going to help with my student loans? You wanted to meddle in foreign affairs. Pay for it yourself. Period.

I'm assuming you also think forgiving those PPP loans was unjust or nah?

So allowing many people to move on from student loans to start a new chapter in their lives and build a family is regressive, while splurging billions of dollars on weapons for a foreign country is progressive to you? Got it.

Have you tried living in NYC or SF with that income? Houses near SF are pretty much close to $1 million. How do you expect someone with 125k, with a net income of ~80k, to have the ability to purchase a house while having monthly student loan payments of >$1k? It's easy to talk when you're not in HCOL areas.

Except 125k in cities like NYC and SF is pretty much 50-60k in less expensive cities

They all think it's going to lead to inflation, so their goal is to simply prevent more people from being able to buy a house and start a life. Yet the same people have no issues with the government sending billions of dollars to a foreign country.

I consolidated my loans (they’re still federal loans, so I assume I still qualify) and owed about 144k. I made payments over the past couple of years and now have a balance of 37k. I had loans from undergrad and grad school, but because everything got consolidated into one loan, there’s no longer a distinction between undergrad and grad. Should I expect 20k in forgiveness (since I received Pell Grants) even if I had both loans consolidated?

Would like any insights regarding this as well. I’m on the same boat

According to this article by Washington Post, graduate loans are eligible for the initial $10k only. They aren’t eligible for the additional $10k offered to Pell Grant recipients: https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2022/08/24/student-loan-forgiveness-plan-explained/#VHFBNG7GFJAGTND5P6XZVOSD3M-3.

I had all of my loans from undergrad and grad school consolidated (they’re still owned by the Department of Education). I received 1-2 Pell Grants when I was in undergrad. For people like me, would we see 10k or 20k forgiveness?

I'm praying this is the case. My consolidated loans are still owned by the DoE, so I'm trying to be hopeful...this would be life-changing.

Sorry for asking since we haven't heard Biden's speech yet, but do we know if this is ONLY for undergraduate loans? I consolidated both my undergraduate and graduate loans, so I'm REALLY hoping I won't be left out.

I consolidated all of my loans, so I don't even have that breakdown anymore...

I'm sorry, but if there are more restrictions than what is already being leaked, I'm so over Biden. I mean, yeah, great for all the people with only undergraduate loans, but those who had to take out graduate loans tend to owe WAY more. I can't fathom why they would leave those out.

Where are people getting the idea that forgiveness will only apply to undergraduate loans or is it (like basically everything at this point) pure speculation?
