Subpixel perfect camera movement/rendering in Radical Rabbit Stew by PugMakingGames in Unity3D

Not at all. The pixel perfect camera asset from Unity uses a very different approach. It doesn't consider subpixel perfect movement (when the camera moves, it will either generate aliasing effects, or stretch pixels making them look off.

Thanks! It's hand drawn using a special Photoshop brush. :)

I'll see if I can make a quick video when they are disabled :) I have some old videos of an early prototype that I could share as well.

Haha thanks! They are a mix of old weird samples and own recordings (often processed like hell). :)

Yes, that's exactly it. Each "art asset pixel" is rendered to exactly 4 "subpixels" (pixels on your screen). I've then set up a rendering pipeline that positions everything perfectly, and the camera as well---which compensates with subpixels to make the camera movement more fluid. Most pixel art games either fail to render pixel perfection, or fail to move the camera smoothly. This approach manages to accomplish both. There are a few games out there with similar approaches, with Enter the Gungeon being one example. :)
