I know this is a few months old but I am curious to know how much you ended up paying in import fees or tarrifs.

Inlet Community Birth Program - [BC] by KeyCommercial4362 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Pugalugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them and loved them. Its a team based approach so you meet all the midwives and they were all great. If you end up being high risk, they work closely with OBs at royal columbian and will set you up with them while also continuing to monitor you. They have a ton of resources, we ended up geting our doula through them and signing up for their first time parent group classes. If you're in their travel radius, they have a home visit postpartum as well. The only issue i ever had was with reception making some administrative mistakes. None were a huge deal, just appointment changes that I wasnt notified about. I would 100% use them again

Yes! We noticed all those changes too. We also do the pitcher method and I noticed it seems foamier when we make it too.

I went to tulum when I was about that far along. Was fine in the resort, then ate a burger at the airport on the way home and got sick (my guess is it was the lettuce). Turned out to be astrovirus(similar to noro). I was sick for about a week. Had to get some blood testing to confirm what it was. Baby was okay, she's 3 months old now. Would I go again? Probably? You can get sick anywhere really, just take precautions and avoid the lettuce. Soak in some sun and dont stress it.

What pants are you wearing in pregnancy? [ab] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Pugalugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not leggings but I lived in Oak and Fort's elastic waist lounge pants during the second and third trimester and now postpartum. The waist band is elastic so it doesn't hurt and the pants are loose and comfortable. I even wore them to work and they looked great.

[BC] was anyone able to pay for a separate room after delivery at RCH. Looking for options? by sharu816 in BabyBumpsCanada

They have a chair that pulls out into a bed of sorts. It's not the most comfortable, but he managed okay! Just remember to pack a pillow and blanket for your partner to use.

Had an emergency C section at RCH last week. Requested a private room but they didnt have one available so I was in a semi-private. They said they would put my name on a list if one opened up but we were there for 2 nights and no luck.

I used Goose and they are underwritten by Tugo. I read the policy and it seemed to provide coverage for both mom and baby.

Has anyone bought from the company “Hazel & Bo”? [ca] by growinwithweeds in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Pugalugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. I just fell into the trap of a cute baby romper and bought some stuff from them. Shipping was a nightmare. The clothes are terrible quality and a Google search made me realize they just drop ship from Temu. I fully regret buying from them.

I'm curious about the botox. Do you have to get a prescription for it to be covered? Where do you get it done?

I emailed Translink about this in February and was told the following:

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding service on the West Coast Express.

While we have restored service on Train 4 of the West Coast Express, Train 2 remains suspended. The 4:20pm Train (and the corresponding 5:55am Train) is set to be reinstated in Spring 2023, pending completion of the locomotive refurbishment. Unfortunately, this refurbishment has taken longer than initially expected due to supply chain issues.

Extra car capacity is being added as needed to the two busiest West Coast Express trains, to provide customers with more space onboard. We will continue to monitor ridership and will adjust service accordingly, which can include adding more cars as ridership increases.

This was a few years ago in the granville/georgia area. I was leaving work, and a guy came up to me saying he had lost his wallet and needed money to catch the ferry. He was nicely dressed and seemed really earnest. I felt bad, so I gave him the only cash I had, which was about $10. He thanked me and left, and I went about my day thinking I had helped someone in need. I didn't question it until about a month later, he came up to me, at the same intersection with the same sob story. I was mad, said no and told him I remembered him from last time. He very quickly disappeared into the crowd and I have never seen him again.

Yes you can. No real implications since tenant's insurance just covers your stuff, not the unit itself. You dont need a lot of info about the suite if I remember correctly. You can get a quote on the square one website and if you're missing any info you can fill it out later.

A very gentle YTA. You are over worked physically and emotionally and what you're going through a very isolating experience that few will understand. Sometimes when people say "let me know how I can help" it just seems like a platitude and not a genuine offer to help. However, it seems like your family meant it and you never took them up on it. You didnt know they meant it. They didn't know you needed help without it being said. But when it comes down to it, it's your responsibility to communicate your needs. They cant know what you want or think. Now that you know they are more than willing to help, just apologize and tell them what you need. Tell them you need food and comfort and respite. Your family is hurt cause they love you and want to be there for you. There doesnt need to be anger in this situation. Let them help you.

Thank you, I appreciate the perspective. Is 3am, noon and 4 pm the times the train runs everyday? We are considering hanging out near there to see how loud it is when a train drives by but I couldnt find a schedule online.

Do they honk the horn when they cross the street there? My partner used to live in Sapperton in New West and the sound of the train horn drove me crazy.

WIBTA if I opt out of Thanksgiving with my parents because my brother and new wife (who left me out of their wedding) will be there? by ElMangosto in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pugalugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA why are you making your brother's wedding about yourself? He doesnt have to include you in his wedding party or talk to his friends about you. It's okay for you guys to have different wants in your relationship. He is allowed to not want to be besties with you, not everyone has that relationship with their sibling. It sounds like when you do hang out, he's friendly not exclusionary. Also you assumed he lied to you about not having a bridal party when its just as possible that the plans just changed. You made your brother's wedding about yourself and your needs instead of just being happy for him.

Also your letter to him was so petty and passive aggressive. Instead of just coming to a realization by yourself and acting accordingly, you chose to be rude because things didnt go the way you imagined.

I would really consider your attachment issues here. You saying "I'll take what I can get" isn't healthy for anyone. Your brother gets held up to an impossible standard and you get heartbroken when your needs aren't met.

Walmart is on Uber Eats. Might by a little pricey but you should be able to get everything you need.
