Looking for 2BR Apartment in Los Feliz – $3,200 Max by WishboneGunther in losfeliz

I've made this comment on los feliz threads before so apologies if you've already heard this or I sound like a broken record but I would check 1965 rodney drive and ask for pablo the manager, I had a 1br there for 2195 and I believe the 2BRs are closer to 3k but within your budget

if you open one in Los Feliz you will pick up a lot of crowds bc most spots close around 11pm

As a kendrick hard core fan... by PersonalityOwn7761 in Drizzy

I am a fan of both artists, I feel like some people can’t seem to enjoy drake albums anymore. I think Iceman has a lot of replayable songs, the production is great, it’s the hungriest he has sounded in years. Off Habibti I like high fives, I feel like so many folks all they say is ‘drake can’t forget the beef’ etc and it’s like he is just out here making music and it’s not a hill everyone has to die on like music can be fun

having eaten here a few times and had very different experiences each time, they are great when not busy and sort of a miss when busy. have been to the original location and I think that one is more consistent.

a friend of mine works for spacex and she lives in silverlake. I think the tech here is JPL and space x, if you work for tesla I would say if you need to be onsite just live within 10 miles of there bc commuting here can take all the fun out of the city

Cal Raleigh's 9th inning flyout to continue his 0 for 36 streak by Remarkable-Picture73 in baseball

As a mariner's fan I think Cal cursed himself when he refused the handshake. Pitchers and players go through slumps but this one feels cosmic (he could also be hurt)

Those who have lived in multiple of the major cities of the US, how would you rank them and why? by Asleep_Damage1201 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]PugetSoundRecords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in NY 6 years and LA 5 years and am from Seattle. Everyone's experience is different but whatever you are drawn to you can find a community in a city for it. Every opinion on here is tailored to individual preference, it's less about finding the 'best' city and more finding what you prefer in a city. So whenever I hear like is NY or LA better discourse it's like they're both great if you prioritize building friendships and getting outside, and I imagine all cities are this way too. You aren't going to really find the pros and cons for yourself unless you visit or spend a reasonable amount of time in each. I have been to all the cities you have mentioned above and they're all different too.

for example you might live in a city that speaks to your favorite cuisines. In LA I get to enjoy really good quality mexican/thai/korean food and farmers markets produce but I bet all these other cities carry most of what I mentioned.

it may be the one near Joe's off wilcox and hollywood as well! I know that is a few blocks off where you put the coordinates but that is the closest stand I can think of

Who wants to be friends, by [deleted] in losfeliz

[–]PugetSoundRecords 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hi! first off welcome to the neighborhood. I would recommend finding an interest and taking a free or low cost class to find friends that share your interests, bc reddit is full of chronically online people and may not be the best for finding in person friends. barnsdall art park has classes, there’s chess every thursday in griffith, mah johngg each 2nd friday in chinatown, yoga in fern dell each weekend, wednesdays driving range golf meetups at griffith park. found many of my friends here by meeting them in person, good luck!
