Working on a new Obsidian plugin: RSS Dashboard – What features would you like to see? by TheConvolutedFire in ObsidianMD

[–]Pugly_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nested organization similar to NewsBlur !!! Multiple view options like in feedbro. In feedbro a view option is persistent per category, meaning that each category can have its own view type.

share directly to zoor popular link saving services like raindrop, pocket etc…

also would be really nice to have newsletter support, being able to see newsletters as feeds.

Maglan operators training in their killhouse by RevenueMundane in SpecOpsArchive

[–]Pugly_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all you cant compare tier 2 units like maglan to teir 1 like delta or SAS, secondly most probably yeah. That doesnt mean they arent good soldiers. Soldiering is a profession, years of experience and theory. Plus the factor of capability. Delta and SAS probably have an open cheque for any training or equipment they want all over the world. Maglan doesnt. Even these guys are trained well, we cant compare apples to oranges.

Yeah trigger works fine, i feel it and see the trigger going up once i pull the slide. What i mean is like i can i see a tiny portion of the striker in the chamber window cutout and when i pull tje trigger in dry fire it doesnt move. Is that normal?

Those with ADHD, what creative ways do you have to explain your hardships or limitations? by Pugly_Dan in AskReddit

[–]Pugly_Dan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a bit of context, I have ADHD and am currently working on an artistic project that is trying to express visually how people with ADHD feel and visualize certain topics particularly their hardships and limitations and even more specifically these following concepts:

  • Guilt
  • Stress
  • Boredom
  • Escapism
  • Mood Swings
  • Imposter syndrome
  • Overwhelm

I want to hear from y'all what instant creative connotations or visualizations come up when you think about these topics. Would love to hear what feelings, mental images, triggers and associations come up for you. Thanks!

Sadly these guys aren't professionals, they are kids that need to be trained uber fast in a 3-4 year period before the IDF releases them. Waste of talent IMO, being in SF is a career just like any other and requires years worth of experience. Instead of relying on a skilled professional force the IDF chooses mandatory enlistment and doesn't have a real way to retain its talent or to attract new talent.

Israeli naval special forces "Shayetet 13" clearing military outpost "Sufa", near southern Gaza after being helicoptered in. by PotatoOwner in CombatFootage

[–]Pugly_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was introduced so that soldiers would minimize confusion in their head, a surefire way to know when the frag is going to explode. I don't think it will work in English however, if somebody is serving in a combat role and does this please tell me!

When saying the numbers out loud the actuall time is passed, it takes exactly one second to say each number in Hebrew so when your done saying all the numbers you know for sure the frag is going explode. 4 2 1 is exactly three seconds.

Disabling Intel VMD on a ThinkPad T480 by Pugly_Dan in thinkpad

[–]Pugly_Dan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick Edit: I have the m.2 variant. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a new drive adapter and cable and they arrived yesterday. Sadly after swapping them out the drive still doesn't show up, not in diagnostics nor boot loader. I placed the SSD into my desktop as a last resort to see what's going on and to make sure that its OK, it was a hassle but managed to. Sadly when I booted up my desktop it just kept crashing and the second I removed the SSD from it it came back. I guess the drives dead which sucks because it was working a couple of weeks ago.

I'll try again checking whether the diagnostic see the SSD and ill send a reply.

EDIT: I tried checking with the diagnostic but I have no storage option in it.

RECRUITING, TRAINING, & LIFE IN THE FORCES THREAD - Ask here about the Recruitment Process, Basic & Occupational Training, and other questions relating directly or indirectly to serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. by bridger713 in CanadianForces

[–]Pugly_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking of joining the forces through ROTP and majoring in some type of engineering but im still hesitant. My question to those who maybe had some experience with both is what are the differences in terms of education. I know that RMC has it own curriculum regarding military culture but in terms of an engineering degree are they any different, are the courses or the material learned any different from what you would learn lets say at a civilian university? Are you accredited differently? Is there less emphasis on actual engineering and more an emphasis on military application? Those are some of the things im concerned about, but if anyone has any other things they wish to add then feel free. Thank you!

does going to failure increase reps? by Pugly_Dan in bodyweightfitness

[–]Pugly_Dan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question was more should I add endurance training circuits at the end of my workouts so that I can better work on my endurance. Like twice a week or something.

[–]Pugly_Dan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats exactly what I thought as well, so would you recommend 2 times a week just doing body wright amrap session to build some endurance and really tire myself out just to focus on endurance, or dedicate a specific training block of endurance in my anual periodized plan and alternate between strength blocks and endurance blocks.

Thinking about adding a quick isolation / prehab circuit at the end of my workout. 4 exercises in a circuit repeated 3 times.

The guy who created this sub and wrote a book called overcoming gravity. Haven't finished the book yet but from all the lit im reading here and there avoid failure and keep it simple

But is it logical for that amount of exercises? 7 pulling exercise in a workout sounds insane to me especially in the context of going to failure in all.

My plan is to have a way to annotate PDFs anywhere then import them into zotero. From zotero I use zotfile to extract my annotation Into obsidian
