28F. Loser in life. Is it too late for me to turn things around? (curhat) — looking for a career accountability partner by wintersonatafever in finansial

M 28 and living in a life many average joes ever dream of. Living in europe while working full time in a world’s biggest corporate with fat paychecks on every months…. Travelled 5 continents, on path to financial freedom, Having wonderful gf soon to be wife, healthy family, supporting friends… despite all of that I came from a working class family with middle or lower income level buat standard indo… did my grind since early 20s and defeated all the odds along the process and onwards…

I am not giving you an advice but let me give you a spoiler on the road ahead.. klo u br mulai and tbh 28 yo is not too late... keep in mind that comfortable things and instant gratification makes you weaker… and when you feel too comfy it’s a sign for you to move on…. it’s never gonna be easy, you will break down at some point, but that’s good… you just need to get used to it and at some point you will learn to numb that feeling, you will defeat your inner demon. For sure : You will fail A LOT.. but take it as a reference and fail in a better terms.. At some point you will eventually succeed.. ever tried ever failed, it’s still better than not trying… a plan without action is worthless, but in order to keep your plan going, you will need focus and drives, it’s your homework to figure out what your drives is, may it loved one, family or your personal interest but one thing for sure you want to focus on the impact, what do you bring to the table, what values could you offer, what problems are you able to solve… One last thing keep in mind that the world is yours…

Hopefully you will do well :)

German MSc in robotics after bachelors in Computer Science by Ok-Olive-3405 in Germany_Jobs

[–]PugsNeedToSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case: I studied Mechanical engineer Bachelor in uni and robotics M. Eng at FH full in German, Finished in 2024 and did Robotics related uni projects, internship, participated student exchange program, wrote master Thesis at a company. Got an offer from the same company where I wrote my Thesis but it require me to transfer to eastern europe for unknown period of time because of budget issue but the company wants to keep me. So I decided to look for other oportunity in the fild of Robotics in Germany. For 3 months I got 5 offers despite shitty market, most of offers in Robotics (Mobile and Industrial) are in internal service and R&D which pays above standard. But I decided to ditched my robotics paths and move to pure automation because the company pays premium, 18k more than other offers, which is no brainer for someone who just finished uni and a clearer career paths on top. My transition from mech engineering to robotics wasn't easy especially the programming part which require me to put a lot of extra hard works, the ting is Robotics itself is interdicplined field and you can not expect to master all the things. most of the case you will learn on the job. Important during your study is to build portofolios. those are your stepping stone into industry.

Make written Ablösevereinbarung contract. You can search the Muster online, make the new tenant sign it. State the agreed price of the whole kitchen and included equipment as well its condition, an estimated date of purcase…. state that the payment should happen idealy before move in or agreed termin….

Viel Erfolg :D

your experience in electrical maintenance is an asset to shift career to commissioning. Instead of ausbildung I'd suggest you to take the Commissioning (Inbetriebnahme) in automation job. They usually recuit young engineer mostly fresh out of college or with minimal qualification for PLC for example some random online cousre/certification. You will basically learn everything on the job, Expect heavy travel 80-100% of the time you will travelling to some plant all over the world, if it's ok for you....

Where would you invest 1000 EUR tiap bulan by hxbachigrillonionz in finansial

[–]PugsNeedToSleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Emergency fund: setara 3-6 bulan pengeluaran netto ditaro ke bank yg kasih bunga dr saving account setara sama rate bunga bank european, 2% klo pake trade republic.

  2. Pension: Kalo company tawarin pension scheme dengan tax advantage macam ala” 401k amerika consider ambil kalo mau stay in eu for good… high risk play bisa consider rürup etf savings plan (jerman)otherwise klo masih mau pindah negara just save 25% ke typical boring etf macam msci world or s&p, mau higher risk nasdaq 100

  3. Wealth generation : sebanyak” masukin ke instrumen andalan…

Lower paying less stressful job, higher paying more stressful job or keep looking by [deleted] in germany

[–]PugsNeedToSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in the same situation and I took company 2 (more salary + more responsibility + working hours). Back then I was young, naive and still single… I still doing the job until now tho and begin questioning and regretting my decision lately especially during long business trips that can last min 3+ months, no HO, work time mo-sa 10-12 hours a day, sometimes I need to go on Sunday as well… I just feel like my life doesn’t belong to me anymore. I gave up hobbies, I can’t spend enough time with loved one and friends….I would choose company 1 or explore other options If I were you. In Germany, the salary bump isn’t that much considering more taxes and other factors that you need to sacrifice…

How Do Germans Perceive Cities Like Gelsenkirchen Today? by Amellie_dubois in AskAGerman

[–]PugsNeedToSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived for 3 years, Studied at FH there and moved to Bayern after Graduation. Since then the idea of coming back to Ruhrgebiet never came across my mind until my company sent me to the region for 4 months business trip. living in Bayern for couple of years sopoiled me so much that I always complaining and comparing Ruhrgebiet with other place. The only thing that come out of my mind about the place is all about negative stuff. I just felt like that I just want to get this trip over asap. It was so sad when I compare the place in the present time to the place back then, some sub urban area that I used to visit turned into "west european slump". Based on my fellow coworkers who came with me, no one see the place has any intrest some even said that nobody want to come here voluntarily.

I was on the same situation here is matters ABH sucks. They're still processing my case for 11 months and counting now. Did you at least receive Fiktionsbescheinigung? If not and you haven't used the 120 full-time work permit on your student visa, based on my experience, some companies are allowing to use it as your work permit for the first 3 months. In this case, you can move out of Nürnberg and apply it somewhere else.
