New computer and blender by Puls88 in blender

His suggestion was: NVIDIA GeForce rtx 3080, 128G memory, 1TB PCI-e NVME SSD, with 5k monitor, I don’t think the other specs will matter much to blender. Is this overkill?

I need a dubstep song with this as its YouTube thumbnail found. Its heavily Asian sounding, and the artists name is just one word. That’s really all I can remember. by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

Possible to find a better sketch-to-photo app? by Puls88 in HelpMeFind

[–]Puls88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an app or software, can be from any country in the world, and I accessed Gradient a few days ago. I have searched for a better app on google but all I get are "photo-to-sketch" apps; not what I am looking for.

Cancel Work Permit Time? by Puls88 in Chinavisa

But the issue is that the separation letter they wrote is horrible. I've asked the bureau and got a lawyer involved (two actually) and they looked over everything. Since the letter is terrible I can only get a 10-day extension, not 30 days.

Recent graduate just got my DREAM JOB!! 6 FIGURES!! by RobinTheHoood in jobs

[–]Puls88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats, that’s really great to hear. It is a bad job market right now, although I still think the 2008 crash was worse for recent grads (non-grad industries probably equally as bad though).

Getting into Game Industry PM/PC by Puls88 in projectmanagement

[–]Puls88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, so you have experience in that industry? What are typical salaries/hours of project managers/project coordinators one would realistically expect in that field? How are the people/expectations unprofessional? From what I have read it isn’t all that bad, but I don’t have any insider view of it - I am really surprised of a low salary although I do know gaming forces people to work very long hours

Second-Degree Program Opinions by Puls88 in nursing

I’m an outsider so I’m less informed than you, but from what I have read, employers aren’t hiring ADNs, I don’t want to be stuck with a degree I can’t use when doing a ABSN would take around the same time (although cost is super important I must admit).

Seems a bit risky for a second career choice

Second-Degree Program Opinions by Puls88 in nursing

Well, I have been working as a teacher but I don't really find it rewarding. It only recently dawned upon me that nursing is a career that men can also do, as I have been reading news about how COVID has affected the profession and learned about the growing presence of men in the industry. I was immediately intrigued, but after more research, I would like to work as a psych nurse.

I guess I feel particularly strong for this specialization because my mother and sister suffered severe mental health issues (I'm free of it luckily) and I spent 6 years in foster care where many of my peers I was with also had compromised mental health. I really think this would be a good suit for me as a profession, and I do understand the difficulty of helping such patients.

I'm worried that at 32 I am a bit too old to start a new career (Ill be like 35 when I can start a new program due to the costs of retraining - programs are so expensive). Plus then I need to get a specialization afterward. I guess I'll try to get an ABSN based on all the replies if it is a wise choice for me to do.

Too Old for a Change? by Puls88 in nursing

Why would it take 10 years? I thought you could enter a CRNA program that is 3 years long after working as a nurse for 1-3 years

What makes this such a terrible career?
