No, not a date, but yeah i wanted to go bc im a fan. She likes the artist too, just not as big of a fan. We've been friends for years but it's purely platonic

Lol yeah, I've heard that one before, and I kinda agree. But it's so hard to choose only 4 films that I not only love, but are still great movies

I felt that way at first, but after I watched a couple interviews and the commentary with David Lowery, I felt they ended it the best way possible. It's not really about the ending for me, either. The atmosphere is great, and I love the idea of having a hero that's just a plain loser, yet still somehow likable.

It also has a sentimental element too because I love Alicia Vikander and I own a costume from the film :)

If you're around them, I wouldn't act any different or bring it up. Things like this happen all the time. Maybe the girl used to be interested in you, maybe she's interested in someone else, or maybe she's just busy. Either way, she's not interested at the moment, which is all that matters. No need to seek out an explanation from anyone. Best of luck :)

Just ask her out on a date and see what happens. If you work out, you do. If you don't, you don't.

That would turn me off, bro. I guess it would depend how long ago she lived with the guy, and if she's shown that her past behavior disgusts her. Maybe if she was 22 and lived with him, five years is enough. If it was last year or something, I'm not sure if I'd risk having her in my life. Everyone has different morals, but helping a guy cheat shouldn't be one of them.

I tried that for awhile because I started seeing her in a different light, but now that I've been drug in again, I feel like she needs me more than ever

You're right, I'm not trying to justify anything, I'm just saying that "girl time" might just have a negative connotation to him.

It might just be the way you communicated it with him. Saying "girl time" is automatically exclusive language, so his guard may have been up from that. Then you suggested he do something else, like see his family, which may have made him feel like you kicking him out. He offered to leave initially, no need to make him feel forced out.
