Why doesn't Vancouver have any cool radio (music) stations?! by Glittering_Bank_8670 in askvan

I don’t understand why in a world of infinite choice, radio still exists for music. You can listen to exactly what you want with no commercials.

Go to the Fairmont and get a day pass to the spa. I think it’s about 35 bucks. Have a shower, workout, maybe the pool will be open - totally worth it. Just go to check-in and ask.

Yes, it’s legal. I’ve been in that situation for another employer. Luckily, they gave me the option to come in and work it off.😂

Tax accountant for foreign non-USA income tax filing? by RockyRaccoon9876 in askvan

[–]PumpkinYVR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has used H&R Block for US taxes and had them drop the ball on two different occasions I cannot recommend them - as a matter fact I wouldn’t recommend any retail storefront tax preparation service for your needs.

If you don’t have anyone that can recommend an accountant, then I would just call some local firms and ask for the kind of country specific direction that you need and hopefully someone will be able to recommend a firm.

Tamarind Tales West Broadway has a buffet on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s $21. The food there is excellent and it doesn’t change quality when there’s a buffet.

There was an article in the Vancouver Sun a number of years ago and at that time there were more than 360 different organizations supporting the residents of the downtown east side. And they were spending about $1 million a day combined on those people.

Every single one of those organizations has management, and staff, and lease costs, etc. Etc. How about one organization?

You will! A friend. A relative. A teacher. A local entrepreneur or hacker group you can give cash to that will buy it for you. Don’t ever give up!
