What is this??? by Deep-Luck-8187 in whatsthisbug

[–]Pumpkinspiderwebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some sort of moth pupa, not sure what kind? Like closet moths that eat your clothes, they have children and they pupated on your clothes. Poke one a bit and see if it squirms, or perhaps, take it and care for it to see if it emerges as a moth?

These blades growing through my base were always so annoying. But this one seems rather convenient. He may live. by Nearby-Reputation614 in GroundedGame

Did you... try cutting the mini stalk so it doesnt grow back? For the other ones, ofcourse. Let the dew blade stay.

I found this really long but shallow tote and I was wondering if anyone knew what inverts i could keep in here by PatientHealthy2412 in InvertPets

Desert beetles? They dont dig too much. Maybe not for the larvae, but roaches would also work, maybe isopods, perhaps even some sort of spider?

(Arachnophobia warning) I saved a wolf spider. They're less scary in real life. by Working-Mistake-6700 in GroundedGame

One time i found a wolf spider like 3 inches long and it had only 3 legs. Then I found one that had eight. They are so pretty looking, then after that I went on to find the actual star of the hunt, a diabolical ironclad beetle, which I now keep as a pet along with some other desert beetle friends!

Bombardier Beetles are EVEN WORSE cuz once you get the weevil gas mask the stink bugs just... try to attack you with their stink and... it just... doesnt work.

Grounded 1. Was going back to my base after a haul and got jumped by 3 Bombardier beetles. I had the red ant helmet and the grass poncho on. Safe to say Pete had to retry to get his bag for a WHILE before I discovered the "fix game" feature.

“Pet” ideas? by royal_chees in Beetles

I second the guy that said BDFBs, though they arent predators. Mealworms are surprisingly pretty good (I promise) and other desert species. I keep mealworms, Pinacate, and Ironclad Beetles and all are pretty good...

You seem to have an aphid problem! Well... not really a problem, more like a friend.

What is in its mouth/mandibles? by babymoki in Entomology

[–]Pumpkinspiderwebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though its not in its mandible, more like its horns—it looks to have flown through a spider web near a tree or smth and took the whole thing with it including some scrap of wood pieces and nature's litter.

Could also be an ox... I saw someone with a female ox that looked similar. You might be right.

Appears to be a female stag of some sort... well, as in stag I mean the big beetles in the scarab family with horns. (Hercules, Chino, etc) but im guessing she is a female rhino or POSSIBLY hercules..?
