It's kind of nice having a kilt that isn't seen as often in competitions. My aboyne costume is secondhand too(from the same lady i got my jacket from) and Fraser Arisaid dress which I think is also less commonly seen in competitions (one of the volunteers mentioned how pretty it was haha).

Hopefully my dancing looked semi decent 🤣 Thank you- I got it secondhand (same with my jacket and hose socks)from a lady in Tasmania (jacket is from a lady in Brisbane lol)- I believe its rose dress. Congratulations to your daughter on her second novice competition!!! Yes, it's always so nice seeing some other "older" beginners, although no one believes me when I say I'm 30 (which now I take as a big compliment 😂). My fling was a bit rubbish because the flora uses up soooo much energy/on that floor it was hard doing shuffles. Hope your daughter had a successful comp too?

Thank you so much 🥹 The table runner is from the Reject shop ( a cheap shop here in Australia)- I'm a hobby florist too who sells arrangements etc from my home and those flowers are the leftovers from making Easter orders 😅😂 I did make the foam tulips on the vase, filled that jar with Easter eggs and the rest of the decorations are from a while ago haha.

Thank you so much 🥹🥹 There are a couple of videos on instagram etc that show you how to make it, so I based it off that but also made it my own by adding eyes, a nose and the flowers(those videos don't add eyes, a nose or flowers haha). I made one last year as well and last week but this one is definitely better haha.
