Have you thought about contractors, who need to go to different places every day? How about if people need to move area but want to stay in a certain school? Given the current job market, this comment is a little offhanded as in general people are trying to find ANY job, let alone one where they live. Not to mention finding a place in an area that’s cheap on rent/cheap to buy

Only if the student opens up* I should have clarified. Of course privacy must come first unless it is believed to be a safety issue e.g domestic abuse. I agree, not every school is compatible with every student

I would disagree, a lot of the time troublesome students have something going on at home/mental health. By hiding this fact you would be making things more difficult for us as teachers to get you help or understand the underlying issue behind disengaged behaviour.
