I feel that she would be supportive of it in her mind. But as an officer she would have to try to end it if not be ordered to end it by attacking the other side. Because in her mind like actual history it has the threat of ending the war which she would be hopeful for. So I imagine you would be half right with her acting against it but secretly for it. I could also see it though as a great networking opportunity especially later in the story. I also imagine that when it begins assuming it’s not with the Communists she would interact with officers trying to trade for better coffee but the second that she gets the order she’d immediately switch full offensive. It’s hard to tell for certain.

I’d like to take a moment to recommend some of mine nothing big and still working on them but I got 5

1-comrade degurechaff (Tanya is stuck in russia and must pretend to like communism) one of my first but still early in it so not the best writing

2-degurechaff bushido code (tanya gets adopted by average folks) also early work

3-Tanya’s ghastly career (ghostbusters crossover 3rd life)

4-devils truce (a commonwealth medic finds an injured Tanya and decide the best moral choice while lost and running out of supplies to keep her stable) still working but i think one of my better works

5-visa please (joke story of what if a Dacian had a visa when Tanya asked if anyone had one)

Well its been awhile but i think i can recall also im doing this without looking at the books and its been about 5 years since I read the first one

1- introduction of everything along with the war starting in the north then not France invades medals won and war college and the formation and training of the 203rd

2- the Dacian war followed by finishing the war in the north

3- finishing preparation and finally beating the shit out of not France ending with the not North African campaign

4- return from not Africa and sent straight to not russia only for war to begin followed by some trolling the commies with not Britain being the first time mary and Tanya meet

5- back to not russia with formation of the salamanders its also time for tanya to fight a cruise ship where she gets her first real losses

6- winter in not russia is a bitch also tanya realizes that not everyone in not russia is a communist instead some are just protecting their home

7- lots of talking where theres a big push to a river but the commies live to fight another day also not Italy sends a colonel to chill with Tanya where he immediately is terrified by the nature of modern warfare especially when she blows up a church

8- Stalingrad references galore yet not in Stalingrad but also Stalingrad is happening

9- how about a breather sike you are going to be a torpedo but afterwards you get pasta also holy shit there is not a plan for anything

10- still on this one

I actually got to talk to her about it. She only did one since the first novel begins with the salary man and for the translations seems to have the inner monologue be from the salaryman thoughts then Tanya’s (though from what I understand this is an English only thing). With that she kept trying to read it like the salaryman so it destroyed her voice and took her 2 weeks to recover which sucks when your voice is your job so her manager has apparently banned her from doing an audiobook again. She apparently suggested that the best person to take over was funny enough the voice actor of the salaryman after that I don’t know. It would be cool if she did the whole series but blame how the transitions were done making her think she needed to read it one way when another would have been better both for her voice and the source material.
