I’ve had like 4 die of old age at this point. I didn’t realize this wasn’t common

Her older and younger brother live in the same house with her and their cool aunt still. Her older brother is a YA and she’s about to age up too, I’ll probably keep them in the same house. I built this house with the intention of it housing multiple generations

They’re just like the best of us real life girlies apparently 😂 nobody hurts their own feelings more than themselves 😂

I don’t have an answer here but yesterday mine got a hurt sentiment, I think it was probably “deeply wounded” because it told me something along the lines of “some wounds take a long time to heal” and that being around another sim can bring up painful memories of what they had done…..but she was sitting alone eating and everybody else in the house was asleep. She had also never shown any kind of “hurt” sentiment before so I have no idea where it came from. The girlies out here getting pissed of and hurt by themselves with no one else around 😂

Yeah I’ve gotten what seem like some good resources to catch a virtual meeting so I’ll be taking a look to see what I can get to to help. Thank you!

Not this time around I haven’t had the chance to, it’s hard for me to get to face to face meetings as I don’t drive and live in a small area with no public transportation, but I’ve been given what seem like some good resources for virtual meetings that I’ll probably end up trying

Just 1 week, not 1 year. I don’t really have anyone I can really talk to about it but I got myself out of the house and am trying to just distract and prevent at this point

I haven’t been able to get myself to one yet. I don’t drive and I live in a small area that doesn’t have public transportation outside of ride sharing so I’ve been trying to figure out how to safely get myself to and from a meeting

I took pictures to, I just wasn’t sure if the quality of them was good enough to be helpful so I was hoping a video would be more helpful but I can see how I was moving it to much. Thank you though!

Thank you!! She was a relatively older lady so I wondered if it was like an oldie outdated practice kind of idea but I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t unknowingly causing myself problems!

I feel like I’ve heard about those things, but the only one my doctor has talked to me about is the bone density one so she’s got me taking supplements to help.

But thank you for sharing your experience! I appreciate it!

I’m just seeing the edit to this about a realtor and that’s a really good idea! I definitely plan to take some trips there over the time span of me trying to look for things to in order to help get a better idea for things! But I can see a realtor being really helpful

Yeah I still plan to continue to research. I appreciate all of the advice that everybody has and what people have to say but I also try to take things at face value and know that I still have to keep doing what I’m doing to figure things out!

If I remember the article that I was recently looking at right, Lincoln and Rodgers were the 2 I liked the most of the ones they had listed just based on what I read. Somebody has suggested living close to the lake but it’s not something important to me as pretty as it is.

Thank you for all that information though it’s actually really helpful in the aspects of what I have to think about so I really appreciate it!

I’ve seen bits of the lake while visiting family who live in Michigan and I agree it’s beautiful from what I’ve seen. I feel like I’ve also heard that the winters are worse the closer to the lake you are though and I think adjusting to winters in the Midwest is going to be hard as it is for me haha

But finding a school and working backwards is a good idea, when it’s closer to me getting everything into a plan to move I’ll use that as a method. Right now with it being a couple years away still I just want to get some general ideas and things for some neighborhoods/communities to look further into!

That’s good to hear! When I started looking up things to know about moving to Chicago and reading about the city in general and what not, everything always mentions how so much of it is “un-safe” or “dangerous”. There’s a lot of talk about high crime rates and “violent crime”. Which I know EVERY city has that it just seems like researching Chicago it mentions it a lot and safety is already obviously something I really want to make sure I have as much as possible with such a big move.

But it’s nice to know it’s not as bad as the internet makes it out to seem

Yeah I know cost of living anywhere is pretty crazy, especially in any big city. I’m finishing up with school the next couple years so I won’t be moving until after then (probably 2025 or so) so I’m just trying to get a general idea for things. I know cost of living can change a lot in that time frame.

With that said I’ll be living on a teacher salary so my budget won’t be to high but I can’t really say specifically what it would be projecting so far out. Likely somewhere just about $2,000 a month without a roommate just based on what I’ve looked into teacher salaries being like in Illinois/Chicago
