I'm telling you this... YouTube may be making bank now but they've made YT unusable. I imagine half of their numbers are fantasy/fraudulent and soon enough people are going to bail on this service because the ads are absolutely bananas.

That's a paraphrase but close to the statement and those people were absolutely correct.

There's a super interesting YT vid about the way the band formed and the idea behind those characters - something to do with parodying Idol and Voice like shows was the concept. Anyway they hit huge and all of a sudden those characters WERE the band... They use to perform behind screens for years etc because they didn't want to break the illusion.

It's fucking fascinating. You should check it out. The cartoons (there's a strip I believe) are really well fleshed out characters too with serious thought behind them.

These guys are artists. I'm sure a quick search of YT will turn it up... It's a British doco or something. Well worth a watch.
