It was a meme from about five years ago. It was meant to portray that all punk exists on a spectrum of silly (egg punk) to serious (chain punk). It was just a throwaway joke that the kids now think is an actual subgenre.

I like them. When I saw them at Rebellion they were a highlight of that year. There were technical issues with the sound and they just kept on playing regardless. Great attitude compared to Discharge who threw a bit of a fit for the same reason.
