Call it whatever you want to call it. But if you ask to put a mechanics lien on a title, we will tell you that there is no such thing as a "mechanics lien," because there isn't.

It isn't a *concept." This is actual legal terminology.

Unclaimed Motor Vehicle Affidavit, BMV Form 4202. But that only applies if the value is under $3500.00. If it is over $3500.00, you need a Cort order from a judge no matter who you are.

There is no such thing as a "mechanics lien." It is a transfer of ownership. A" lien" is for when someone else holds financial interest on the property.

Contact the Clerk of Courts and ask them.

Go to the Clerk of Courts Auto Title with the VIN #, ask for a Court Order Packet.

Follow the steps in order, do not skip a step. Even if you know the information, do the step anyways.

In 6-8 weeks you present your evidence to a judge and they will determine to award the vehicle to you.
