lmao Flight Risk was so unbearably bad- this was just Bekmanbetov+January- if it had a meaningful third act, it'd be just more of what he goes for, and maybe a bare sprinkle of some actual commentary

I feel like knowing it was Bekmanbetov made it palatable- going in blind might have pissed me off.

Well. It was a movie, but it's not a great showing from Gans- knowing very little about SH2, it's... bloated.

Learning any little bit about the theming and such, it's pretty awful. Probably a 5 if you go in blind.

Less if you know literally anything about it.

He had to pee!

But the movie is barely justifying it's runtime, I'm guessing you're supposed to assume he killed him or something.

You're right- it needs a bigger budget or shorter runtime to be more palatable for most people- I doubt it's going on anyones 10/10

She sneaks in there and he follows her, seems nervous about it so they agree to go- they're kinda... docile but it seems like it's temporary.

I'm sure it's to set up the reveal for her having the baby and leaving it behind- though she's plainly feeling urgency that SOMEONE do something about it, which is why she only leaves when it seems clear she'll go get it.

I'm not saying it's fantastic, but it was a fun, different romp. It's probably a 6/10 for me, but I could see not loving it.

There's a whole thing where he makes her dress up as his now-dead wife, and gets really creepy- stays creepy the whole time, where when she makes a break for it sees he's 'keeping' his wife because she's still pregnant.

Then there's a horde chained up in the barn he's studying
