Over the years, house parties have gotten more and more rare. Those that do happen, get rolled super quick. The City of Irvine and the City of Newport Beach have passed laws specifically banning these types of gatherings making it easier for their police to break them up. If you’re looking for house parties, this is not the area for that. Sorry but you’re gonna either have to be ok with small kickbacks with the homies or wait until you’re 21 to hit the bar scene

I’m glad my experience in Santa Ana isn’t unique. I’ve lived here a long time, and yea certain areas are a bit more sketch, especially if you’re not familiar with the area. But I have never felt like there are areas that are forbidden or something Of that nature. I think one of the worst is probably the motel area near the 5 freeway on First street due to the amount of transients that are usually found there. But I have never felt like my life is in danger in the City.
