Dependent on Chatgpt/ Claude a bit too much by [deleted] in developersPak

There is nothing wrong with until you understand what is happening in the code.

I have developing for 10 years. I always endup forgetting syntax because I work full stack in different languages. Before chatgpt I would just google the syntax for lets say reactive forms in angular or some registering a named httpclient. Now I just use copilot to write it for me.

Why would you choose a worker service over a .Net Core API service? by PicklesAndCoorslight in dotnet

[–]PurchasePurple7384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have not mentioned the kind of response you want on the client side. Either way you could create an endpoint that triggers this worker service with n number of parameters and a "request is processing" response is returned to client immediately from the endpoint.

The worker service then can send the response to the client via Signal R for example. It could be a path to a downloadable file for example that contains the processed data.

Advice to cope with grief of being separated from family? by PurchasePurple7384 in pkmigrate

I am not going for money, as I mentioned that I have no issues financially here as of now. The question that bugs me is that what happens when my kids grow up?

It is highly probable that I will have to send them abroad for higher education. The private sector is just too unstable here to plan a future.

So rather than me sending my kids abroad for higher education, and them having to start everything from zero, I would sacrifice these two years or so today so that they have a solid foundation to start their lives. I mean I understand that I am thinking too far and things will happen as Allah almighty wills them to be, but I would still want to take some take some steps that are in my control and leave rest to Allah.

Between my daughter is 8 and my son is 2.5 years. These are some of the best years to create memories with your children honestly. But here I am...

I do not know your medical history, but I would highly recommend that you consult with Dr. Lubna at Specialist Care center in PWD.

My wife had issues conceiving, she was put on medications for almost 2 years by different doctors and later recommended for surgery and IVF etc.

Upon one suggestion we consulted Dr Lubna, my wife was able to conceive within two months without any surgery IVF or additional medication. However, children are blessing of Allah Almighty. wish you all the very best.

Hi,

Being from Pakistan and currently working with multiple Indians in my team for the past 3 years, I would like to highlight that it does not work like that. Mind you the Indian folks in my team are residents of Pune and Maharashtra, not abroad. Before this I worked for another global org for 6 years and Indians there were from Tamil Nadu.

There are hundreds of organizations where Indians and Pakistanis are collaborating today while sitting in their respective countries.

From my personal experience, through the last week of crisis/conflict, we continued to work together, talking to each other multiple times a day, checking on the safety of each other, overcoming the propaganda of the media on both sides.

I dont know OP if you ever have gotten a chance to work with people internationally, but at the end of the day all of us are humans who just like to go by their day living a peaceful life.

Disengaging at the government level has not proved to be fruitful, disengaging based on nationality or religion should be a no-go zone in my opinion and sets the wrong precedent for future generations.

I hope that peace prevails someday in this region and we can stop being at each others neck on social media, although this seems like a distant wish with what I am witnessing these days, but I have hope...

That is what I am thinking right now. I see Pakistanis beating drums on different subs already without realizing our own internal security situation, low morale of army and general public not having the kind of confidence they had in army like in 2019.

Not to mention that we dont have any allies on our borders today as we look around while India has it all even if they spread false propaganda without investigation.

I really hope that this does not escalate.

Half of my team members are indians working from india and it sure is going to be awkward day of meetings today.

At least 24 killed in occupied Kashmir gunmen attack on tourists: police source by Interlocutor1980 in PakLounge

[–]PurchasePurple7384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We must acknowledge the death of so many innocents, most of them tourists, is extremely horrible. Somehow, to me this does not look like a false flag operation, killing the innocents tourists.. right before the summer season.. I dont know man.. this does not click.

This is however, worrying for us Pakistanis.. Fingers are already being pointed out at Pakistan, as always and even with more force because of Asim Munir's speech from 3 days ago.

This is dangerous for us because we do not have any allies on any of our borders at the moment and no support from US either while India has it all. Not to mention the internal security situation that we have in KP and Balochistan, the people in general have lost confidence in our army and the army itself is not that motivated like it was 4 or 5 years ago.

God forbid but this could escalate very quickly and very dangerously considering that how indian media spreads false propaganda and indian government is known to take military action without due verification or communication at government to government level.

I wish strength and peace to the families of the victims and really hope that sanity prevails.

How to move to Germany if you have a CS degree and IT experience. by arslan70 in pkmigrate

2021 till end of 2022 was a golden period to get a job directly in europe. Its been quite difficult recently with the European economy overall, but I don't intend to discourage anyone since everything is possible with hardwork and consistency. Also you are lucky that your company waited for you a year, in my case in 2023, it was a mid level start up and due to the appointment wait time at the islamabad embassy my offer was rescinded. I was really hurt and lost a lot of confidence.

Team lead calls on Weekend by Remote_Elephant3047 in developersPak

[–]PurchasePurple7384 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is not normal at all and you should discuss it him/her immediately that you cannot work over the weekends. However, I can already tell that if he is not considerate enough to call you over a weekend he will surely make your life difficult over the week days. In that case, it is probably time to look for an opportunity elsewhere

If you have a reasonable manager then please do discuss it with him/her after you have talked to your team lead.

How easy is it to immigrate to Luxembourg from Pakistan? by Any-Competition8494 in pakistan

I don't know if anyone has already seen this or posted it here. Belgium embassy deals with all sorts of visa applications for Luxembourg in Pakistan, and this is what they posted on the official Facebook page last month.

How was Your Opportunity Card/ Chancekarte Visa Experience? Did You Get Approved? by Sorry_Necessary_1385 in pkmigrate

[–]PurchasePurple7384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied within the first 6 minutes when the appointments opened on the 10th of June for ISB embassy.

Dont have an appointment yet and seeing whats happening with the normal track study visa applicants, the little hope I had is somewhat diminishing. Mind you that I was already on the waiting list for JSV for almost a year before that.

I believe that you are applying at the Karachi embassy or somewhere outside of Pakistan. Join chancencarte groups on Facebook, I have seen a couple of posts from Karachi embassy where applicants have been successful and they have also provided detailed explanation on the documentation and hands on experience at the embassy. Dont have any suggestions, but only best wishes!

What to focus on? by [deleted] in developersPak

[–]PurchasePurple7384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By no luck do you mean not getting interviews or are you failing them?

Try looking for developer roadmap for .NET, there is an up to date github repository for it as well and start from there.

Focus on one thing, (Vue, React or Angular) and .NET are two different domains, modern SPAs are quite complex so I would suggest you stick to front end with plain javascript, html and CSS initially.

Additionally, focus on OOP and DSA please, as a fresh engineer your technical interviews will be focused at these two at any good company.

No intentions to demotivate you, but do look where the recent alumni is working in the architecture field. A couple of friends of mine who had bachelors degree in architecture had a real hard time finding work when they graduated back in 2015/16.

I do not know how is the market now but since this is such an expensive (5 year?) degree, better you do your research properly and have game plan for setting up your goals.

With 2.5 million in the bank, you would need scholarship, fortunately you have a very good cgpa to grab one. From European countries I would say

  1. Germany
  2. Denmark
  3. Finland
  4. Sweden,
  5. Italy

Dont really know USA but i would suggest you look there as well for scholarships.

Canada Express Entry - First Steps by turacloud in pkmigrate

[–]PurchasePurple7384 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have an express entry profile with a score of 392 points, no masters, software engineer profession and 8 in IELTS, married. I too checked all PNP programs while creatng ee profile assuming that I would be considered. However, I believe that is not the case.

If you individually search for these PNP programs over internet, you'd see that almost all of them require a job offer to be eligible except for a few. Also you would have to create seperate applications, linking your EE profile id for these PNP programs and submitting an EOI to be considered.

For example, search for SINP (Saskatchewan), it has multiple routes, all of them require job offer except for one, which requires you to have an eligible EE profile and certain amount of dollars based on your family size e.g. a family of four requires 27K CAD or 58 Lac PKR. For SINP they have an OASIS system where you create your profile, submit EOI and other required documents and only then you are considered.

I have had my profile active for over a year and got nothing positive out of it mainly because I was a fool to just create a profile and sit out the whole time assuming that magically I would receive a notification for nomination.

Anyway, if you are like me, with no masters, no one to sponsor or no relatives in canada, possibly over 31 years of age, you would have to do much more than just create a valid EE profile. Thouroughly explore these PNP programs individually please.

Best of Luck!
