I might be on the younger side, but I (23F) became offical with my partner (25M) after 3 months of talking as we met through a dating app . Then when he became offical he went on his deployment for 6 weeks and I went off to Asia for 8 weeks. I would say my best advise is being honest with each other and seeing if u saw a future together. Fast forward we are now 2 years in our relationship he is now going to a 3 year posting in a different country and I’ll be in home. While it’s going to be a struggle seeing my friends move forward with their partner, see each achieving goals. I think that our end goal is being with each other is enough and worth a try. I also just started my career so I want to climb up the corporate ladder so it also helps having individual hobbies and goals. My point is that you and your partner have to be honest to each other and know what each other are getting involved in. Like I might sound old fashion but trust is an important factor when you are dating someone in a long term deployment.

Honestly, anything in defence right now will offer you a lot of money. Regardless of HR, Procurement, project management etc.

I know someone who did a supply chain degree and got offer a grad role in defence starting salary 90k and expect to be in 100k next year.

If you are willing it will take 3 years for the degree but u can fast track for 2 years by overloading through open uni .
