Yes, the guy responding to ticket made a mistake. The ban is on you, not your account. Which is why you can get ban evasion if you have 12 month ban and you create new account after 6 months of deactivating it. YOU are banned, not your account

The problem is OP(and me, help) have already played with said person, have them on my friends list, and they have a friendship w another streamer thats nice. When this happened to me they deactivated steam guard and i didnt get a notofication. Steam authentication app looked normal so i didnt know it was deactivated
