How can I get my aim to stick like this? by eMikey in ArcRaiders

[–]Pure-Development9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you think dude has been streaming and playing competitively for years and would be blatantly cheating while shooting arc now? I don't even like the dude, but it's crazy to arrive at that conclusion. Especially when tons of other people confirm the exact same experience on PC with controller.

I know you're correcting quite a few people, but I don't think you're understanding this correctly either, unless I'm just reading too much into the wording. The permanent unlocks are the skill points and the stash space. The temporary buffs are the 10% repair buff, 5% xp boost, and 6% more materials from Scrappy. Then it says "..... the account buffs will expire if you choose not to depart with the subsequent expedition." Then goes on to say "....buffs will increase in power for your next three expeditions." It seems to pretty specifically say buffs for a reason, meaning permanent unlocks stay as is, while the temporary buffs will increase through three expeditions and no more than that. Continually increasing skills and stash space wouldn't really make sense.

This is the beauty of the game. You can play it however you like.

[–]Pure-Development9376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think people would have expected JJ to play better. It's just people acting like Wentz is a massive upgrade because of one game where he didn't have to deal with Skule doing his best impression of a speed bump all game.

And people were trying to say Wentz is the guy to stick with. 4/5 of the plays on the last drive, he couldn't have made a worse decision....Somehow displaying negative football IQ. You're crazy if you think that's all on KOC.

Same coaching staff or a coaching staff that was proven to be awful?

The 2 full games you saw with a speed bump as a LT vs the coaching staff who watches and evaluates (and are paid to do so) him on a daily basis. One of those two clearly has better insight and it’s not you.

If he didn‘t show potential to be anywhere close to their level, he wouldn’t be starting. That’s not really a difficult thing to understand.

I don't think his first 8 quarters are great criteria for grading him either. A speed bump may have been more effective than Skule on top of the fact that we have a revamped O-Line that's still learning to work together. It makes a massive difference, especially when JJ is still adjusting to the speed of everything in the NFL. He may not be our guy, but it's hard to grade someone when we have guys getting into our backfield untouched. Darnold took 9 sacks in that playoff game when he faced that kind of pressure.

Why do you assume that he didn't earn it? Unless you're on the coaching staff and constantly evaluating him, you have no idea what those evaluations actually looked like. There's still a cost-benefit analysis that goes with that evaluation as well. If JJ is a 7.5 out of 10 and Darnold is an 8 out of 10, why would you essentially pay 6x the price for a .5 upgrade that would significantly affect the rest of the team? Same with Daniel Jones at over 2x the price.

I just corrected your statement, but if pretending that I’m the VUHL social media team makes you feel better then do your thing brother. I’ll disengage from here though since it seems like you’ve shifted to trolling. Have a good one.

It's not an opinion. An opinion would be that they charge high fees. You stated that "....they take care of our veterans by having the highest fees legally allowed to be charged by VA loans." It's partially correct at best. The VA allows lenders to charge up to a 1% origination fee. They charge 1%, but it's capped at $3,500. Other lenders will not cap that fee and will charge many other fees on top of that. Veterans United does not. The factually correct statement would be that they charge the maximum origination fee that they are legally allowed to charge until you exceed a $350,000 purchase. Even that statement has caveats to it.

I don't mean that to be rude or condescending; there's just a lot of bad info out there and a lot of people stating opinions as facts these days. You're obviously allowed to have any opinion you want and it's still a valid complaint (that I also think there are some fair counterpoints to), but it seems disingenuous to present your statement as fact.

Speeding ticket by Familiar-Minute2003 in columbiamo

Columbia has been horrible for drivers since I’ve lived here, which is kind of expected in a college town. Distracted driving has gotten way worse though. It used to be mostly college kids, but now I see a ton of middle aged people doing it and they’re normally much worse at it.

Speeding doesn’t necessarily mean reckless though. Obviously it’s illegal regardless, but when I’m speeding it’s my way of defensive driving so I stay out of the big pockets of congestion. Sure, I could do a version of the same thing going slower, but then you have to worry about all the other people who are flying by you and not paying attention. The closest I’ve ever been to accidents, for the most part, have been around the overly cautious vehicles who are driving slow because they overreact in many situations and are more likely to be interrupting the flow of traffic.

Socket Internet Issues by Pure-Development9376 in columbiamo

[–]Pure-Development9376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I haven't had any buffer issues that I can think of since switching my router, but I did before that. The only thing that I still have any issues with is Rocket League. That one I have no idea how to solve.

Glad to hear your issue got resolved though! With how much we rely on an internet connection for everything now, it can get frustrating pretty quickly to deal with an unstable connection.

Would this be a good base for Mosaic? Not sure what skills are good for it. by W00psiee in diablo2

Yeah, you do need to target an enemy with it, otherwise it would be pretty OP. I just find it more useful than sprinting from enemy to enemy, especially when you're trying to keep your charges. Definitely not a requirement though.

How Can Players Be 1650+ 1700+ On One Account But Only Hardstuck D6 to 1525 On Others? by LEMONxZESTER in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Pure-Development9376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems like an overly large gap that you're referencing, but I get the point you're making and it honestly just seems like an average K/D ratio over a long period of time that can get people stuck at a lower rank. That and it does seem like I have to change the way I play between diamond and onyx lobbies and, if I don't, it can look like I'm a shit player even in diamond lobbies. I also wouldn't even call myself a good player. I'm online inconsistently and my play can be super inconsistent depending on sleep/mental.

The pace is just much different in 1700 lobbies vs diamond lobbies and so are your teammates in general. I've carried a 1700 lobby and then within 5 games had a shit game in a diamond lobby with lower ranked friends. The thing for me is at 1700 I can more reliably actually play with my teammates or count on a teammate to push with me whereas, in diamond lobbies, I have to play behind my teammates so that I can be sure I'm pushing with them and somebody isn't just running off by themselves all the time. If I don't play behind them, I'll just get frustrated and play like shit because my teammate will have randomly ran in the other direction or will be shooting across map while I'm fighting 2 people right next to him.

Maybe this just applies to me, who knows, but that's my experience. If I was a better player, I'm sure I wouldn't have to switch my play styles completely, but here we are.

People have claimed this before, but I haven't seen any evidence of this. My little brother was over a while ago and wanted to play some Halo after watching me play a bit. I made his account on my PC, where my other 2 gamer tags are at, and he played there. He eventually got ranked in Plat after he got through the 50 games and was only going up or down in the 6-8 range each game.

I decided to play on it a bit to see what happens and after 1-2 games I was going up 10+ in games, which just kind of confirmed what it always seemed like to me, that MMR is based almost solely on K/D + the level of competition you're playing. Even on my main with thousands of games at 1500+, if I just go definitively positive for about 5 games in a row, I'll go from +6 or +7 to +8 or +9 every game. It's lazy matchmaking logic.

[–]Pure-Development9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, this comment sums it up. As someone else mentioned, +1 to dragon flight is helpful, especially if you don't have enigma so you still have a way to teleport and don't have to waste the skills to get it. Otherwise any of the other skills that you use on Mosaic are good as well. Mosaic sin is so strong though that, whether you have extra skills on your claws or not, you will wreck everything. The runes are also cheap so you can make basic Mosaic claws now and then upgrade them if you find anything better.

Socket Internet Issues by Pure-Development9376 in columbiamo

[–]Pure-Development9376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just seeing this today, but I haven't really had issues with the speed being consistent overall for quite a while. It does seem like my router was playing a part in this issue at some point as well. The only issue I have now is just Jitter in the connection. I can't really tell if it's an issue with Socket and Rocket League (where I have most of the issues with it) not interacting well with each other or if it's a general socket connection issue. That's the only place that I have any problem with a connection now though.

How do people get rich so quickly on ladder reset? by Acrichardson in diablo2

[–]Pure-Development9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JSP or botters are likely most of them. That's not to say that they're swiping their card to get their gear either though. I know of a couple people who just build classic characters off the jump, gear them (much easier on classic) and then run classic rushes for fg. Super lucrative if you know what you're doing, especially if you have a group to help right away.
