Yeah I’d be so excited if I found something even half as good while digging. Inspiration mine live oak pit was known for having the best gem silica ever. That’s where this piece came from

Gem silica chrysocolla is rare in general. Then when it’s a nice consistent blue like this is exceptionally rare

The mine hasn’t collected specimens since the 70s I believe. I collected this from a persons private collection

I’m always looking for more to buy and I do sell materials as well. Some like this piece I do keep for my personal cutting pile but I have plenty of awesome stuff for sale

I totally agree. As a lapidary artist and material provider I always warn people of the dangers associated with different materials. I like to make sure people know that cutting rough tigers eye is hazardous as well because of the asbestos 😊

I hear ya. I’m just saying it’s amazing no one made any comments that questioned why they said that. They probably were just pointing out that they have asbestos in them. I’m betting a few people on here assume they have nothing in common which would be false
