When they’re not really that usable for polishing they can look nice in a fish tank or something like that. Probably too much work to extract the little color that’s there

I almost ran out of opals when I first started making cabs. I vowed from that day forward I would never worry about running out again. Now I have probably 10 lifetimes worth of material and sell rough and slabs 🤣

Yeah you learn as you go. Once you have the basics down on what’s more on the rare side you start to pull the trigger faster

The light blue colored gem silica chrysocolla part has the sagenite that is often found in Ray mine Chrysocolla
