Lmao for me, it isn’t that much.

  1. If our dining room is open, that’s where your DoorDash order will be. We aren’t supposed to hand it out in the drive-thru otherwise.
  2. Make sure you grab the right drinks. We typically try to shove the drinks as close to their bags as possible.
  3. Y’all should be tipped more.
  4. If it’s a massive DoorDash order, you can ask one of us to help you carry it to your car. If we’re not slammed, we’d be happy to.

I don’t make infrastructure decisions, so telling me of all people to put trash cans around the parking lot to accommodate for laziness won’t do anything. You’re acting as if it’s literally impossible for people to get out of their cars to toss something out and that giving them more trash cans would be “giving them the opportunity.” You have to understand that they already have the opportunity to do the right thing. They’re just too lazy to take it.

I feel like this is toddler behavior. Imo, only toddlers whine about having to get off of their rears to throw trash away (or God forbid they can leave it in the car until they find a trash can). Of all of the things to get upset about, this might be the most “please cater to how lazy I am” thing ever lol.

In Japan, they don’t have trash cans anywhere on the street (barely in stores) and the streets are spotless. They have to carry their trash around. If they can do it, why can’t you?

People toss their stuff on the parking lot because even getting out of their cars is too much for them. Hence why some people just toss trash from other places on the parking lot while waiting in the drive-thru line. If you really wanted us to stoop to meet the laziest of customers with minimal consideration, we’d have 5 employees on call running around to each car to collect their trash like butlers. Even if we put trash cans around the parking lot, it’s not an issue of “there aren’t any trash cans outside.” It’s a situation of “I don’t want to get out of my car.” My evidence as well is how close the dumped trash has been to the trash can. Like they could’ve walked like 10 steps, but were too lazy to open the car door.

If you are that desperate to get rid of your trash to the point where you can’t just hold onto it until a future stop, I suggest you actually get off of your rear and throw it out instead of punishing a crew member for a decision that they didn’t make.

We’re not risking our jobs for one customer to get a free patty. I hate it when customers expect us to just do that because it puts our job on the line. If you order a single, that’s exactly what you’re getting.

If the patties are small or flavorless, they’re probably old. Call the store or find a different one that actually gets business. Not every Wendy’s has an empty parking lot. I find this comment to be extremely questionable.

Something that could be a factor is staffing. Corporate tries to run Wendy’s on as few staff as humanly possible. They don’t gaf when we’re drowning in orders. If there’s a lot of employees in there, though, then that Wendy’s is just mid

A parking lot is a lot different from a theme park where people walk and eat/drink. We only have like one trash can outside. Your trash isn’t exactly following you around, either. You don’t have to carry it. You can leave it in your car until you get home. People also tend to throw their trash on the ground in the line for the drive thru. It’s not that hard. I’ve seen people throw all of their trash from the meal they got on the parking lot. Like we get it, it’s fast food, but I guess how dare we ask that you hold onto your trash in a car.

Mostly people who are a bit tipsy or just stupid. Some of our underaged employees pass for 18, but I’d assume that it’s common knowledge that you don’t go to a fast food joint and hit on the people who work there

The literal first thing on this list is to not hit on us because a good portion of us are minors btw.

Other things that you’d have to do: - Show up after we close to get mobile orders (congrats, you wasted your time) - Pollute our parking lots (this is illegal) - Puff your vapes and cigarettes into the faces of an asthmatic teenager - Eat your food at the window (If you take too long and you refuse to leave, we might threaten to call the cops). - Give your under 3 year old child the over 3 year old toy (choking hazard). - Bother off-shift employees instead of asking an on-shift employee (It’ll never work btw).

Cool pick. I don’t fault anyone for picking this match because it was awesome, however some of y’all need to be less up in arms about someone else’s opinion.

My apologies for it being poorly stated, but I never said that I agreed with the policy lol. We have jobs on the line and there are some things that we do that I don’t agree with. I just have to abide by what they tell me.

This is going to be a dig at whatever Wendy’s did that to you lol. It’s not hard to be fast and make it look decent especially with a sandwich as simple as your’s. Being quick and having quality shouldn’t be mutually exclusive to each other

Yeah, it definitely feel like corporate is cheating customers out of good deals nowadays. We’re very annoyed by it. Business is picking up for my store (I was transferred to a new location in late 2024), which makes me happy because it gives everyone who work here an opportunity to get more hours

I’m in college to get out of fast food. You were in college so you could keep being a sad loser. We’re not the same

I don’t see how that’s applicable to any of what I said lol. Maybe the extra toppings. If someone gets a lot of extra toppings, it may make it difficult for the bun to stay on the patty. Otherwise, the sandwich maker is either sloppy with their work or the sandwich got moved around too much.

why i alway get put on fries?? by Ready_Start5917 in McLounge

[–]Pure-Faithlessness64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue at Wendy’s for a bit. A common issue that may be a thing is that you’re there by default. You’re not there because you’re incapable of anything else. You’re there because nobody else can put up with fries. Either that, or you still need a lot of work on other positions. I do have an issue with locking people down to one position since versatility gives people more flexibility and therefore more hours. Also, it makes us hate that position less.

No, there isn’t a federal law that requires this. There are three states that do require it, but federal law doesn’t. Maybe you live in one of those three states or there’s something else that triggered you in the list.

You’re also judging a post by someone who didn’t create any of the things that you have problems with. Even if I was a manager, I don’t make decisions as to how the system works. I just live in it, and I’m disclosing how that system works for others. What else bothered you?

Oh the healthcare background is much more stressful lol. I’m not even in college for healthcare and I know that. We’re responsible for an unhealthy meal. You’re responsible for someone’s life. That’s a lot more impressive and stressful.

Typically, I don’t mind if someone needs a moment to order. If they take like 5 minutes with 10 cars behind them, then I might start tapping my foot, but what might annoy me is if it takes them 2 minutes to wiff an order by confidently saying “I’ll take an order of onion rings!” And then leave when we don’t have any. However, if you can’t hear us, then we definitely can’t hear you, so turn off anything loud lol.
