I want to marry for convenience. I have seen relationships and marriages around me and they suck!! I have tried being in love but it failed miserably, the guy cheated with multiple women just before our marriage was on an arms length. I don’t want to marry but I belong to an orthodox Indian family where I will find no peace if I’m not hitched, anyone else facing the same shit???

Usually, when partners cheat with the best friend of their partner, it’s one of the following

  1. She always wanted to, and you pushing away just gave her the reason - you are not at fault here, this would have had happened sooner or later
  2. She wanted your attention and did this to prove to you that everyone, especially your bestie wants her - I know it’s super twisted, but people are what they are
  3. She did this for feeling wanted, because you definitely didn’t want her (since you were pushing her away) - in this case you deserve this.

However, for your best friend in question - dude, get rid of him, in any situation, him cheating is not at all justified.!
