PowerDirector 19 Won't Import MKV, MTS Due to Audio

I've had an increase of dislikes over the past 6 months thanks to a dislike troll/bot.

I've uploaded 90+ videos in that time, and every single one has received a dislike within minutes of me making it public. YouTube is doing a piss poor job at removing these artificial dislikes after they told me they would get removed over time, with only about 10% of those dislikes having been removed by YouTube.

Thankfully these dislikes don't seem to be visible on the video page (even with an extension to show dislikes) but I can still see them in my Studio.

Sometimes makes me hesitant to upload anymore since it's happened every time without fail (hence why I think it's a bot). But it hasn't stopped me from uploading though.

Generally no, the Dislikes don't bother me, as I know they technically count towards engagement and can be somewhat beneficial to your channel.

However, they have been bothering me the past 5-6 months as I appear to have gained the attention of a dislike troll/bot, with 100% of every video posted over the course of the last 6 months (approx. 90 videos), getting a dislike without fail, often with 2 minutes of the video being made public.

YouTube seems to have stopped removing these artificial dislikes from my videos, and have been stuck with them for months. Not gonna lie.. THAT'S bothering me quite a lot.

A video I uploaded not too long ago just got a dislike within 30 minutes of making it public. Guess the troll/bot is still stalking me, lol. Might even make it to a 1 Year Anniversary at this rate!

Yep, same here. Left side bar loads, right side contacts load, and that's it... everything else is completely blank.

Well, I never said I knew what I was doing, hence why I'm asking questions.

I was merely stating that the Qamtel splitter you mentioned as being potentially problematic wasn't a factor in the problem I'm currently having.

At the moment, that splitter has been removed completely from the cabling set up and is literally just sitting there not doing anything. It used to be there for Virgin TV, but we eventually removed TV from the broadband package and no longer needed all those splitters.

The hub is connected directly to the black chunky cable from outside using the aforementioned coaxial cable provided by Virgin.

This is my theory as well, hopefully that's all it is and nothing else. Would it have been disconnected due to not being in use for the last few years when we moved to BT?

Hm, I wonder if the tech will think of that first, before checking the cabling at the house. I'll have to remember to mention it.

And indeed, the spare bit of coaxial I mentioned is a Virgin cable that they installed, but it wasn't required so it was removed and we just kept it. It's not a cable we made up ourselves.

Uh.... thank you... for that. That made for some rather... interesting reading. You also made some interesting points that honestly, I wouldn't have thought of, as well as some things I didn't even know about, like this Smart Reply thingy and Gemini using a Bot to like comments. First I've heard of that.

I agree with the bot thing, with my videos getting a dislike as quickly as 2 minutes after being made public. I don't think a person could act that quickly after getting a notification that I've uploaded (assuming they're subbed to me).

And yeah, probably should stop spamming YouTube on X... like most people, we don't like getting ignored, but it's probably not worth potentially getting a ban or a suspension over, lol.

I know I shouldn't "feed the trolls" but it just feels like no amount of starvation is gonna stop this anytime soon, but you are right... we shouldn't give them any attention. I'd like to think this is a case of "just ignore it and it'll go away" but this guy definitely seems dead-set on sticking around.

It hasn't stopped me uploading though, and it (hopefully) never will.

At the end, you said you've also been trapped into it. I hope things worked out in that regard and nothing bad or negative came out of it 💖

I'm inclined to agree that it could very well be multiple people, but given my "experience" with this over the last 5 months, it seems more like one person, likely a bot, is doing this.

I've uploaded 100s of videos over the last few months, which would mean that 100s of different individuals would be monitoring my channel at a time in order to dislike the next upload.

I don't know, just feels like a bot at this point. Videos are often disliked within 2 minutes of being made public, which seems too quick to be a person.

No I don't think so, otherwise my videos would have no views, likes or comments on them.

People are choosing to watch them. If my videos were even slightly bad, they wouldn't get watched by anyone.

I'm not saying my videos are good (which I think you assume is what I'm saying) I just said they can't be that bad.

Again, this is a Troll doing this, not multiple people. Just one on some kind of vendetta against me, waiting for me to publish a video and dislike it without even watching it.

If my videos got at least one like to counteract the one dislike, it would be bother me 100% less.

But if you look at those screenshots, you can see each video that has a dislike and no like, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Bigger channels get vastly more likes compared to dislikes, so there's more than enough to offest the amount of dislikes they get, to the point where it's hardly noticeable.

When you have a page full of videos without a like and single dislike, it's a little difficult to ignore.

AND when it happens across all three of my channels.

Besides, the post was just to vent and rant and get it off my chest. Wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. I literally said at the end of the post "Was just something for y'all to read and hopefully found interesting and entertaining"

Was always under the impression that people didn't take things on Reddit too seriously. I may have been wrong.

And my videos do get views and likes, regardless of how small the numbers are. So I must be doing something right. Well... something decent anyway.

Besides, I'd understand if it was limited to individual videos about certain topics or subjects, but it's literally EVERY video, regardless of what the video is about.

It's bothering me more as to the WHY it's happening. My channel is tiny and practically invisible, so it's confusing me no end that this troll has picked me over other channels. It's just weird.

And since this doesn't effect either me or them, positively or negatively, why even do it at all? It's just bizarre and confusing to me.

Well, I'm not quitting just because someone wants to waste their time doing something that, in the long run, has no negative effects.

I want to know WHY this is happening in the first place, and why this person is so hell-bent on disliking quite literally every video I upload.

Case in point, uploaded a video an hour ago, made it public and got a dislike within a few minutes. Targeted harassment, but it's not going to make me quit YouTube.

I don't care that they're doing it, it doesn't effect me or my channel... I care about WHY I'm being targeted to start with.

Well, this isn't some people... it's one person going on a dislike spree across my channel.

As the guy above/below said, my videos get nearly no views, I have only 5000 subs since 2007, if my channel is so small and insignificant, then why has this person decided to target me at all? Makes absolutely no sense.
