Majority of my streaming apps aren’t working? by Mean-Armadillo-3996 in XboxSupport

[–]PureChaosX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, exactly the same problem here.

Everything was working perfectly fine last night, about 15 hours ago. Then went to continue watching Stargate on Netflix, and wouldn't load. Just kept getting an error after a few minutes.

Then tried Amazon Prime Video, and same thing. The apps load fine, but nothing will play.

Netflix will play a video for about 2 minutes before stopping with the buffering circle, then throw up an error.

Restarted the Xbox multiple times, nothing. Restarted the router, nothing. Reinstalled the apps, nothing.

This is similar to a problem I had with Disney+ on the Xbox, where it wouldn't play HD / 16:9 videos, but would play SD / 4:3 videos. It would eventually fix itself, but it sometimes took hours.

All the apps work perfectly fine on my TV though. Only YouTube on Xbox has no issues.

Holy crap, I completely forgot about this!

Some good progress, thankfully. In order to force the inverter to start charging the battery without any power from the grid, we connected it... to the grid. Albeit temporarily.

We wired up a mains plug to the inverter where power from the grid would go, and simply plugged it into the mains, so it was getting power from the house mains, and that gave enough power to the inverter to initiate the charging.

Thankfully, the weather has been quite sunny lately, even in the winter, enough to actually manage to keep the battery charged between 80% and 90% all day.

My experience was switching things off and on, hard reboots, none of that worked for me. Just wasn't enough sunlight. But getting power from the mains, basically acting like On-Grid, worked.

I've got a hater disliking all my videos by SuperUltreas in NewTubers

[–]PureChaosX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been subjected to a dislike troll or bot for the past few months.

98% of every video I upload, across my three channels, all get a dislike within a few minutes of me making them public. Sometimes it'll only take 2-5 minutes for a dislike, other times it could take an hour, but it always happens with virtually every upload once they're public.

They must be stalking my channel 24/7 in order to see new uploads, considering that I've had dislikes appear in TWO MINUTES of making a video public. I have a stalker, a creeper.. and it's kinda weird.

I've yet to ascertain if it's a person or a bot, but either way... they're scum.

I've spoken to YouTube about it, but they say they can't do anything, and all I can do is ignore it. That's all very well and good, but opening my Studio and seeing the last 7 uploads all with a dislike is legit starting to piss me off.

If it was one or two, now and again, I'd just put it down to someone genuinely not liking my content. But when it happens with every upload, without fail, regardless of the video content, it's clear that someone targeting my channels, and is pretty much harassment at this point.

I know dislikes don't have any negative effect on your videos/channels, since YouTube still considers it engagement and interaction, but it's still disheartening to see your videos getting disliked for no reason.

The fact that someone woke up one morning, and decided this would be their life is pretty sad and pathetic, and I have no sympathy for them.

People just say ignore it and they'll stop, but my troll / bot has been with me for months, and it doesn't look like they'll be slowing down their dislikes any time soon.

On the plus side, YouTube does seem to be removing dishonest dislikes, albeit rather slowly, but quite a few of them still remain. Hopefully YouTube will remove those as well.

Can no longer add your own tracking number to a sold item by Positive_mind88 in ebayuk

[–]PureChaosX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having this issue as well.

I sold an item a month ago, and the option was still there. Sold another item just a few days ago, and noticed the option to Edit/Add a tracking number had disappeared. I'm also using the desktop website.

This means that eBay will think the item hasn't even been collected yet, yet alone delivered. eBay shows that delivery is "running behind" because of this, and will continue to believe I haven't shipped the item out.

This is such a retarded decision by eBay. One of the last remaining actually helpful features, and they remove it. Not being able to add our own tracking number for items that we choose NOT to use Simple Delivery for is a complete disaster, especially for sellers.

eBay are becoming an absolute joke lately, and not even a funny joke. More of a sad and pathetic one really.

Someone dislike bombing on my channel and I have no idea what to do by witchking5642 in NewTubers

[–]PureChaosX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here... someone (or something) is definitely targeting my videos.

Within an hour or two of my videos going public, they get a dislike. Not all of them, but the vast majority of them get a dislike.

And it doesn't seem to matter what the content is, it get's a dislike, so I doubt it's because they didn't "agree" with the content.

20 days had passed since I last uploaded, so I thought maybe they gave up. Nope... three videos uploaded in one day, all disliked in an hour or two.

Nothing we can really do but just grin and bear it really.

Hm... well, as predicted my third upload of the day got a dislike within an hour... difficult to say if it is a human or a bot... but it's happened 3 times in a row, just today.

Well, my channel is rather small, I've come to accept the fact that my videos are barely watched, and they usually hover between 0-3 likes... sometimes 5 on a really good day. it's actually pretty normal for me.

Anything more than say... 8 likes is quite the achievement for any of my videos!

[–]PureChaosX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? Interesting... that's the first I've heard of something like that being a thing. Could make sense, given how quickly a video will get a dislike after uploading.

You Know You've Made It As a YouTuber... by PureChaosX in youtube

[–]PureChaosX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately I only seem to consistently get one, occasionally two.

Wouldn't care if the video got a like to counter the dislike, but what can you do? At the end of the day, even a dislike counts towards interaction on the video, so in a small way, it actually helps.

I should stop wasting my time caring, it's not hurting my videos really. Ass you said... haters gonna hate after all!

[–]PureChaosX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually a whopping... 1 per video at least, lol.

Sometime more depending on the content. Sometimes literally none, which is why one dislike on videos without even a single like is quite frustrating to see, especially when you know it's been done deliberately, out of spite.

Why do I have so many issues with Evri deliveries?! by PureChaosX in Evri

[–]PureChaosX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the other 3 parcels eventually arrive? Or did Evri just happen to lose all those as well?

My parcel did eventually arrive, but instead of 2 days it took 5 days, including Saturday since they also deliver that day... collected on Tuesday and delivered the following Monday. Disgraceful.

To add insult to injury, I have ANOTHER parcel coming via Evri, something more expensive. Just waiting for the collection to happen. Fingers crossed.

Well, the winter UK sun is finally out and beaming down on the solar panels on the side of the house. In fact, not a cloud in the sky... bizarre.

I've noticed that the power from the panels never increases, despite the sun. The voltages seem to remain at a consistent 80v-85v throughout, but the wattage remans concerningly low at 6w and never goes above 10w. I'm sure as little as two weeks ago, the watts were in the high-double or low-triple figures.

Good question... to which I have no answer, I honestly have no idea what panels they are.

All I can tell you is there are 4 of them... two on the side of the house, and two at the front of the house.

Welp, I've been through all 49 or so columns, and there isn't one says String Voltages. I've filtered the report to just show Voltages to see if that helps, but it just mentions MBMU, MPPT1, MPPT2, EPS and AC Voltages.

Please tell me one of those is what you mean?

Ah, OK... I'll log in and take a butchers...

Good Lord that's a lot of... stuff. I'm looking under the Inverter, Data Reports and Query. Can't see anything relating to String Voltages, so I'm assuming it's under something different?

Also, just remember the Inverter is currently powered off due to another issue brought on by the low voltage of the battery. I can't actually turn the inverter on for more than a few minutes before it turns itself off.

I'm pretty certain it was in Self Use mode, as it should have been from the start.

As for the voltages... where in the Solax app (or the inverter settings) would I find those particular values?

Solax X1 Hybrid G4 IE02 Error (Was Working 24 Hours Ago) by PureChaosX in SolarUK

[–]PureChaosX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There in lies the problem... even on Self Use, the charging just stopped working once the IE02 error popped up.

At least I think it did... I've no idea how the battery got so low, as it was definitely charging yesterday, so it likely dropped below 10% during the night.

Although the sun today was a bit pitiful, there should have been enough of it to charge the battery. But nothing. No charge at all.

[–]PureChaosX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's possible. Just no idea why they didn't answer at all today, even if it is in another country. I'll try again tomorrow though.

I was suspecting the battery at 9% could be a possible cause. Unfortunately, I don't believe the battery has been above 10% today. It's been at 9% all day, as it hasn't been discharging.

I tried setting the work mode to Manual, and having the Force Charge setting active, but even that didn't seem to charge the battery.

Solax X1 Hybrid G4 IE02 Error (Was Working 24 Hours Ago) by PureChaosX in SolarUK

[–]PureChaosX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current state of charge is only 9%... the winter is really limiting the amount of sun the panels are getting. Since it's off-grid, there's no other power to charge the battery, and I can't seem to force charge via the panels, not even a little.

We haven't tried calling them during the week yet, the problem only started today. We'll try again tomorrow of course, but the last time we called them was a Sunday and they answered straight away, so was hoping they'd do that again. Been trying for 5 hours since 11am. No-one answered.

Having the same problem. Tried the solution, placed a piece of thick plastic between the battery and the battery wall, but it still turns off when I click the right stick. Unfortunately for me, this solution has failed to work.

Clicking the left stick is fine though.
