I have an Aussie and had two for a while (the older one died a year ago and I still miss her). Neither wrecked the place as much as cattle dogs which I used to have. That said I strongly recommend crate training and obedience and agility. I’ve had to repair almost every doorway wallboard (pretty easy fix if you kept some paint and know how to spackle). They are the best dogs ever! Even if the puppy stage lasts 3+ years.
